What Business Are You Thinking About Starting?
Every successful business starts with an idea. Tell us: • What business are you thinking about starting? • Why does it interest you? • What's stopping you from getting started? • What experience or skills do you already have that could help? Sometimes the best business opportunity isn't the biggest one—it's the one that fits your skills, experience, and interests. Tell us your idea in the comments below. — Ken Queen

Well, I would go with the one that thrills you, what you'd be happy to get up in the morning to do, because you don't know how many more mornings you have left. But that's me, and I see the temptation to do something different, but isn't life, daily life, more important than money? But that doesn't negate a money choice if thats you. Who you are and living that is more important than all the tea in China as my grandmother use to say.

Tony, thank you for the kind words. I've found that the older I get, the more important it becomes to spend our time doing things that truly excite us and give us purpose. It sounds like your heart may already be telling you which direction to go. And congratulations on the move to Florida! I've really enjoyed living here. Maybe once you're settled in, we can compare notes on how your new adventure is going. Keep us posted on which business you decide to pursue. I'd love to hear what you choose and why. I live in the Clearwater, Tampa Bay area, so maybe we can go out for lunch at some point. I look forward to talking to you. Thank you. — Ken
What's The Best Business Advice You've Ever Received?
We all remember certain advice that changed the way we think about business. What's the best business advice you've ever received? Who gave it to you? How did it change your results? I'll start: One of the most important lessons I learned is that sales solves most business problems. A great product with no customers struggles. A good product with strong sales often succeeds. What advice made the biggest difference in your life? — Ken Queen

What's Your Biggest Challenge Getting Customers?
Most businesses don't fail because of a bad product. They fail because they can't consistently get customers. Tell us: • What's your business? • What's your biggest challenge getting customers? • What have you tried so far? • What's worked best? I've spent decades in sales and believe customer acquisition is one of the most important skills any entrepreneur can learn. Let's help each other. — Ken Queen

How Did You Get Your First Customer?
Every business starts with the first customer. Tell us: • What business were you in? • How did you find your first customer? • What lesson did you learn from the experience? If you haven't started a business yet, tell us how you think you'll get your first customer. I'll start: One of the biggest lessons I learned is that selling is the foundation of every business. Once you learn how to get customers, almost any business becomes possible. — Ken Queen

START HERE: Introduce Yourself
Welcome. If you're over 45 and wondering what comes next, you're in the right place. This community is for people who want to build a business, create income from their experience, and do work they actually enjoy. I'm Ken Queen. Over the years I've started more than 30 businesses. I've had failures. I've had successes. I've made mistakes that cost money and lessons that made money. What I've learned is this: You don't need another guru. You don't need another complicated course. You don't need another year of research. You need clarity. You need a business that fits who you are. And you need to find out whether customers will actually pay for it before you spend months or years building it. My goal is simple: Help you discover a business you'd be excited to get up on Monday morning and work on. Then help you test it in the real world. Not with opinions. Not with guesses. With actual potential customers. Introduce Yourself Please tell us: • Your name • Where you live • Your career or business background • A business you'd like to start • Your biggest challenge right now I'll personally read introductions and help point you in the right direction. Welcome to Second Act Nation. Let's build your Second Act together.
