A Simple SEO Strategy for Skool Communities 🔍
During a recent conversation with @Mindy Molein and @Mark Whitby , we were discussing how Public Skool communities can attract more visitors organically through Google Search. That conversation led us to an opportunity many community owners may be overlooking. YouTube! Remember, Google owns YouTube, and videos often get prominent placement in Google Search results, with thumbnails that draw attention. Look at the accompanying image (edited with AI). Notice how much space Google gives to video results? So why not use that visibility to help grow your Skool community? Here's a simple strategy I recommend: ✅ Start with keyword research. Identify questions and topics your ideal community members are searching for. ✅ Publish a YouTube video first. Create helpful content targeting those keywords, with an optimized title, description, and thumbnail. ✅ Turn that video into a valuable Skool post. Expand on the topic with written content and embed your video. ✅ Link them together. Include a link to your Public Skool post in the YouTube description, giving viewers a direct path to your community. Think about the possibilities. Suppose your community focuses on sourdough baking. You create a YouTube video about How to Make Sourdough Bread for Beginners, then publish a companion post in your Public Skool community. You've now created two opportunities to appear organically in Google Search, potentially reaching people who have never heard of your community. And here's something important: This strategy works for PRIVATE Skool communities, too! While your private community posts aren't publicly accessible to Google, your YouTube videos can still appear in search results. Simply point the link in your YouTube description to your Skool About page, where potential members can learn about your community and request to join. Of course, rankings aren't guaranteed, but each piece of valuable content creates another opportunity to be discovered.

Great info Jeff. For me not yet and Des @Des Dreckett covers this in his community as well.
Why I’m On Skool
I don’t have a Skool community of my own… yet. 😎 Bio Builders & @Jeff Baer made me feel very welcome. For now, I’m here to Learn, Participate, Help and Share. My focus is affiliate marketing, residual income and, above all, helping people make technology simpler. I’ve spent years working around the internet, marketing, websites and technology, now in my 3rd retirement, it's all about LifeStyle. My philosophy is simple: KISS - Keep It Super Simple. On Skool, I want to learn from others, share what I discover, promote things I genuinely find useful, and hopefully help someone else along the way. Learn: Learn from the people already doing it. Participate: Get involved rather than just watching from the sidelines. Help: Solve problems, Share products, ideas and opportunities that I genuinely believe can help. Share: Pass on what I learn — especially the stuff that makes technology a little less confusing. No big guru claims. No pretending to know everything. Just learn, test, share and improve. And who knows… maybe that “yet” will eventually disappear and there’ll be a Skool community of my own. Learn. Participate. Promote. Share. That’s why I’m on Skool. I'll be around.... The Bio Builders feels like home.

👕 What If Your T-Shirt Could Promote Your Business?
A few days ago, I shared how we transformed Julianne Anderson's traditional website into a simple, one-page Link-in-Bio at Julianne4History.com. But there's another part of Julianne's story I want to share. Julianne loves picking — hunting for vintage treasures, collectibles, and pieces of history. She also has two communities, Retro Riches Archive and Ricochet, that she's passionate about growing. And she had a dream. She wanted to wear her own branded T-shirts while she was out picking, promoting what she loves and the communities she's building. So we made it happen! 👕 We designed a T-shirt with her branding on the front and a custom QR code on the back. And here's where it gets interesting... 📱 ONE QR CODE. TWO COMMUNITIES. ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES. When someone scans the QR code on Julianne's shirt, they're taken directly to her new Link-in-Bio page. From there, they can: ✅ Explore Retro Riches Archive ✅ Join her Ricochet community ✅ Shop her vintage finds on eBay ✅ Connect with Julianne through her contact form ✅ Follow her on social media No complicated URLs to remember. No business cards to hand out. Just a conversation, a quick scan, and a connection. And because the QR code points to her Link-in-Bio, Julianne can update her links, offers, and content anytime without printing new shirts. That's what I love about combining EZ Bio with QR codes. Your marketing doesn't have to be complicated, expensive, or even digital to start a digital connection. Sometimes, all it takes is a T-shirt! 👏 Congratulations, Julianne! I love seeing your ideas come to life. 💬 Here's a question for everyone: If you could put a QR code on something you wear or carry every day, what would it be?

🗑️ What Are You DONE With?
We spend a lot of time talking about what we should start doing. Today, let's go the other direction. What’s ONE thing in your business you’re just DONE with? Maybe it’s... 😵 Posting somewhere that gives you nothing back ⏰ Spending an hour on something that should take 10 minutes 💸 Paying for software you barely use 🤖 Doing something manually that could be automated 😬 Offering something you don't enjoy anymore 📋 Following a process simply because “that's how I've always done it” Mine: I’m DONE tweaking things that are already good enough. 😬 I have a habit of finishing something...and then thinking: Maybe I should change this. Maybe that could be better. Maybe just ONE more tweak. Sometimes those tweaks make it better. But sometimes they just keep me from moving on to the next thing that needs to be built. There’s a saying I need to remind myself of more often: Imperfect action beats perfect inaction. So I'm working on getting better at recognizing when something is good enough to ship. Because sometimes... DONE really does beat PERFECT. 👇 Your turn. What are you DONE with? Then read through the comments. If you see something you've already solved, reply and share what worked for you.

LOL, I have done that as well, Jeff. Ok, one that was not on the list...work, I am done with work! Well, not really. The one I solved is the tweak. I have found that perfection is never reached, just excellence and that is the best I can do. So, instead of reviewing ad nauseum I now just take a deep breath and post or send.
