Now, you may have a ton of questions like; what is a filament? What is a hair follicle? What is the dermis of the skin? So on and so forth. Well, to break this down a bit further, hair specifically is made of tightly packed, keratin-filled keratinocytes. A filament is simply a slender thread-like object or fiber. This is how hair is described verbally and perceived by the naked eye. A hair follicle is a structure within the dermis of skin and that structure is where the hair originates. The dermis is an inner layer of the skin that is made of tough connective tissue containing blood vessels, nerve endings, hair follicles, and glands. The nature of this information, in my opinion, represents ‘As Above, So Below, As Within, So Without.’ Don’t you think? Our hair, how it grows, how to nurture it, is no different from plants. It’s not always what you put on the outside, it’s what you put on the inside which is reflected or mirrored to the outside. I apply this concept to how I take care of myself and how I manage my life.
