Two Years of Study, A Lifetime of Possibilities
Two years in, studying AI every day. A lot of times we gather concepts from things we watch, right. I study lots of things, religiously. And in my mind, like in life, we put things together. So, a lot of what you’re seeing here with AI, animation, and characters, they’re not always concepts I’ve carried for years. Some of these characters are brand new. This is why I purposely watch certain shows, or I’m outside watching nature, or even scrolling just to learn. It’s amazing how the brain works, it starts putting things together. I didn’t plan to create a demo of my work with AI, with generative images and motion. I just woke up one day and did it. There’s so much already stored in me that it just had to come out. At first I thought I didn’t have enough work to even pull a demo together. But when I looked back, I had created so much that it came together easily, and even then I left a lot out. The point is, sometimes you don’t have to think about it, you just have to go. Don’t wait, don’t overthink it, because once you start asking if it’s good enough, you’ll beat yourself up. And once it’s out there, all you can do is learn from it. This feels like my first real demo. Not everything, but a collection of things I’ve worked on. And in this moment it feels like a small masterpiece. One day I’ll look back and say, wow, I’m so much better than that now. But it had to start here. Take the leap. It may not be perfect. You may stumble, but it’s better than staying stuck. And that’s why I’m glad you all are here. Watch the leaderboard. Respond to some of the posts. Rise up. The ones who’ll find true success are the ones who get up and fly, not the ones who stay stuck. In the meantime, enjoy my first demo. And don’t forget to check the calendar for some events coming soon.
