@Karen Dupaix I guess it could be. I restarted it in January.
Introduce Yourself!
Welcome to Your Sewing & Handwork School--we're so glad you're here. Take a moment to introduce yourself in the comments below. You can share as much or as little as you'd like, but here are a few pormpts to get you started: - What's your name and where are you joining from? - Which crafts do you enjoy (sewing, embroidery, knitting, crocheting...or all of the above)? - What are you currently working on--or hoping to learn? - what drew you to handwork or this community? This is a friendly, encouraging space, so feel free to jump in, say hello, and connect. You never know who you might inspire--or become friends with.

@Karen Dupaix at first I did not think I would like modern quilting. I like making traditional blocks and the skill of matching up corners. Modern quilting challenges my creativity. I joined a modern quilt guild in my area. There is a modern convention in North Carolina in February. MQG. To answer your question: it’s a more contemporary aesthetic. You’ll often see use of solids, bold colors, graphic patterns, high contrast, open space, improvisational piecing( which seems CRAZY but it’s so FUN!) minimalism, asymmetry, or reimagined traditional blocks in new and exciting ways.

@Suzanne Bell our creativity fires much quicker than our hands can move. It’s not our fault. 🤣
