How to use this space
This community works because WE build it together! Here are some ways to start co-creating... - Share your burning questions - the ones keeping you up at night about education and human development - Post your experiments - what you're trying that feels risky, revolutionary, or just different - Ask for what you need - support, feedback, collaborators, accountability partners - Challenge ideas (including mine!) - real paradigm shifts happen through honest debate, not echo chambers - Connect the dots - comment on posts that spark something in you, build on others' ideas - Bring your expertise - you have knowledge, experience, and insights this community needs The revolutionary education community you've always wanted doesn't exist yet. We have to create it. Together. Right here. Starting with your next post. The paradigm shift is waiting for YOUR voice!

I'm so excited to see this community of Paradigm Breakers grow and thrive together!
Welcome Paradigm Breakers- Tell us about yourself!
If you're here, you're probably tired of the traditional system and are ready to question what everyone else takes for granted. This is where we build the coalition of educators who refuse to accept "that's just how education works." Let's start with introductions that matter: Your Education Origin Story Tell us: - What moment made you realize something fundamental was wrong with traditional education? - When did you first catch a glimpse of what education could be when it truly serves human development? - What unspoken norm in education drives you absolutely crazy? - What transformation are you hoping to create in your classroom, school, or community? What I hope this community becomes: A coalition of paradigm breakers who co-create the tools, frameworks, and courage needed to prove that transformational education isn't just possible—it's inevitable when enough of us work together. Drop your story below! We're not just chatting online- we're building a movement. And every movement starts with brave individuals willing to share their truth and vision for something better. Let's revolutionize education together! Feel free to add new topics, ask questions, share resources, celebrations, and areas for growth. This is OUR platform for the dialogues that will break the paradigm!

Hello! I'm so excited to see so many of you joining our community of Paradigm Breakers! I grew up in a traditional education system where I was successful because I recognized that this system was a game to be played. When I began my career as a math teacher in a traditional public high school in the U.S., I immediately recognized that there were many students who were not being served by this system. I worked hard to focus on my students as whole people first, supporting their academic goals in service of their lives rather than the other way around. However, there were many limiting factors in a traditional public high school setting. I ultimately left my job to be a stay-at-home-mom and decided that I would take on a different career path once I was ready to return to working outside of the home. However, I was introduced to a local Montessori school when my oldest daughter was just a year old, and it changed the trajectory of my family's lives! I was in awe at this education system/philosophy that was focused on human development and meeting students' needs rather than focusing on academic outcomes, standardized testing, and top-down policies coming from adults working in offices removed from students. I was fortunate to join the staff of this Montessori school as an adolescent math specialist and have since become the adolescent program director and all-in paradigm breaker! We can do so much better than the traditional education status quo!
