The scariest thing in ABA right now isn't the criticism from outside. It's how many assessments come out looking identical no matter the kid. If the plan would fit any child on your caseload, it wasn't really an assessment. We can do better than a template.

I spent $90k and passed a board exam to make clinical decisions. So it stings when a scheduling dashboard makes them for me. I get it. Companies need operations. Scheduling is hard. Utilization pays the bills. But there's a line. Who a client sees. How many hours they get. When services end. Those are clinical calls, and they belong to the clinician who holds the case. If you run a company: your BCBAs want to work with you, not around you. Put a clinician in every room where clinical calls get made.
