Jan 19 - My birthday - 2.75 inches lost this week
I celebrated m 69th birthday with my family today. I used it as my cheat day. As usual, on a Sunday, I did not work out. I measured my total inches. Even though the scale didn't show much change this week, I lost 2.75 inches this week. My wife did even better, losing 6.375 inches.

Jan 17 - Workout B
I did my leg workout today, and a body scan. I realized that I wasn't consistent in what I wore for my previous body scans, so I'm counting this as my first one. Interestingly, when I got home from my workout, my brain was a little fuzzy and I couldn't remember how to do some basic things I've done many times, like using my phone to scan in my body scan results. Was it because my muscles were pulling all my blood supply to them, leaving my brain and little short?? Due to my brain fog, I didn't record my workout numbers early in the day, so I'm recording these late in the day from memory: Seated Leg Press: 8 @ 100 pounds ?? Seated Dips: 8 @ 50 lbs? I won't try to log my protein for today, but I'll try to do so from now on. Scan results: Weight | 198.0 Body Fat lbs | 55.6 Body Fat % | 28.1 % Muscle lbs | 78.7

January 16 - Rest Day and Body Scan
I did another body scan today, to see how close it would be to yesterday's scan. I need to make sure I wear the same clothes each time I scan, so today's scan might not be very helpful. Weight: 199.1 lb Total body fat: 56.0 pounds Total skeletal muscle mass: 78.9 pounds. This scan suggests I added 2.6 pounds of fat and lost 2.0 pounds of muscle, all while lowering my weight 0.6 pounds!! Not likely, and very likely influenced by my difference in clothing and hydration. I plan to do an experiment in the near future where I do two body scans separated by heavy hydration exercise and see how the two scans compare. Could be that scanning at intervals of less than a month might not make much sense?? Fasting blood sugar: 109 Weight: 199.1 Protein log: 60 | bkfst: 2 protein shakes 12 | snack: 4 spicy jalapeno smoked sausages (BG 108) 25 | snack: 1 cup cottage cheese (protein log incomplete)
