Skooly by Joe Defilippo – Member Review
This is my community review of Skooly by Joe Defilippo. “It’s like skipping tech support and having an engineer as your bestie.” I joined Skooly because Joe is my friend. He previously ran a community called Jester and it was just a fun place to be. But beyond that, Joe is a real software engineer in the real world, and he started building tools that the Skool platform didn’t have yet. At the time, analytics were limited. You could get members, but you didn’t really know where they were coming from. If you were posting on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, or relying on Skool discovery, you were guessing. Joe built a link shortener that let you actually track your traffic sources. Then affiliate links rolled out on Skool, and those links were long and clearly labeled as referral links. Joe solved that too by creating clean short links that masked the affiliate structure while still tracking data. It just made sense. If I’m going to hype a community I love, why wouldn’t I use a clean link and get paid for driving real members? The tools were practical from day one. As of right now, Joe has built 19 tools inside Skooly. Some are fun. Some are seriously powerful. A few I didn’t immediately understand… until I saw how other owners were using them and realized how valuable they were. His responsiveness is almost immediate. He’s present. If something breaks, or if I try to break something on purpose to test it, he’s on it. The support is bar none some of the best I’ve ever experienced. And it’s coming directly from the engineer. No layers. No ticket ping pong. That alone builds trust. What I love most is that members help drive development. If an owner has an idea that would save time or improve productivity, Joe listens. He’s constantly teasing the next tool that’s about to ship, and it makes you want to stay plugged in because there’s always something new coming. And yes… Joe is hilarious. What you need to know before joining Skooly is that Joe is hilarious. Don’t expect stiff corporate vibes. Expect personality.

The Skool Classifieds by Shannon Boyer – Member Review
This is my community review of The Skool Classifieds by Shannon Boyer. “I was a lurker… but this space helped me find my visibility again.” When Shannon launched The Skool Classifieds, I didn’t know her personally. I joined because I was curious. There was something missing on the platform… a real place to self promote without getting moderated into oblivion. In other communities, especially Skoolers, promotion gets shut down fast. Before Classifieds, there wasn’t a clean, intentional space where owners could simply say, “Here’s my group. Here’s what I do.” So I joined as a lurker. A full on L-U-R-K-E-R. I wanted to watch the experiment unfold. I wasn’t even fully ready with my own offers yet. I was still working inside other people’s communities. But I knew this concept filled a real gap. What stood out immediately was Shannon’s leadership. On the first call I joined, I was outspoken. Based on my experience with the platform, I shared concerns and things I thought needed to be addressed. Shannon didn’t get defensive. She didn’t get ego driven. She said, “Yeah, I never thought about it that way.” And she listened. That told me everything. Inside Classifieds, the culture is simple and refreshing. Promote your group. Talk about what you’re building. Share what’s happening. There’s no perfect format. No overcomplicated posting rules. The only real moderation is no dollar amounts and no off platform offers. That’s it. Her clarity around the purpose makes it safe. It’s a space built for visibility. I ended up joining VIP as soon as she offered it because it was a no brainer. When she opened up annual pricing, I grabbed that too. I kept showing up to calls. I started welcoming new members because I wanted them to feel seen. And then she asked me to be a mod. Since the beginning of the year, I’ve really dug in. Not from a place of “these are potential clients,” even though yes, they are. But from a place of peer to peer support. We all rise together. That’s the tone she sets.

Fix Your Funk by Sarah Hankins – Member Review
This is my community review of Fix Your Funk by Sarah Hankins. “I don’t need to polish anything. I don’t need to perfect anything. I just need to accept who I am and be fully myself.” I joined Fix Your Funk because of Sarah. I met her inside Skool Community, now Skoolers and just thought… she is cool. She lives her life out loud. Who she is, is who she is. No masking. No shrinking. No pretending. And being around her makes you feel free. Her community is built for the neurodiverse, what she calls neurospicy, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs. It’s a space where you’re not “too much.” Not too loud. Not too extra. Not too emotional. You’re just you. And that’s enough. Inside the community, the most powerful part for me has been the support calls. Sarah coaches in a way that gives you agency. She doesn’t tell you what to do. She doesn’t hand you a script for your life or your business. Instead, she asks questions that pull you back into your own intuition. She helps you find your own answer. If she gives advice, it’s experiential. “Here’s what I tried. Here’s how it worked for me.” But she leaves room for you to do it differently. That matters. I’ve worked with coaches who dictated every move. That never felt empowering. With Sarah, I still have my voice. There have been moments I’ve been melting down, and she has jumped on a call with me. That speaks volumes. She genuinely wants to see people succeed alongside her. She also weaves in awareness of cycles… moon phases, seasons, energy shifts. Not in a rigid way. Just an understanding that we move through phases as humans. That alone has helped me be less hard on myself. When she restructured the support calls into tiers, it actually deepened the experience. The higher tier calls, which I’m part of, allow for smaller group coaching where we not only get support from Sarah, but we learn from each other. I’ve built real friendships there. We grow faster together because we’re honest with each other. The culture is open. Freeing. Nonjudgmental.
