Last night, I had a profound realization about apple trees that beautifully reflects our own journey toward authenticity. When I cut open an apple, I discovered some of its seeds had already germinated inside, weirdly sparking an understanding about “imprinting” and how it shapes what we become. I received an instant download about how when apple seeds germinate within the apple itself, they receive an imprint—an invisible blueprint that carries the essence of the original fruit. It’s as if the apple passes down a message about its own nature, guiding the seed to grow in alignment with its origins and purpose. But when we take a seed and plant it directly in the ground without that initial imprint, it may grow, even bear fruit, but often falls short of its true potential and develop what we know as "Crab Apples". This discovery mirrors our own need for authenticity. Just like the apple seed, each of us holds unique potential, and it’s through connection with our truest self—our core values, passions, and purpose—that we find the direction to create a life filled with meaning. When we’re disconnected from our authentic nature, we may still grow and succeed in a conventional sense, but we risk producing a “fruit” that lacks depth and fulfillment. Without the influence of our authentic selves, we might only scratch the surface of what we’re capable of, missing out on the power to positively impact our own lives and those around us. By reconnecting with our authentic self—our unique gifts, values, and sense of purpose—we align more deeply with our potential. We start to produce “fruit” that’s a true reflection of who we are, and in doing so, we radiate a positive influence that inspires others to do the same. Authenticity becomes a ripple effect; the more we grow from our true nature, the more our lives impact others in a way that encourages them to connect with their own truths. So, let this be a reminder to seek and honor the authentic self within you. As we align with our true essence, we not only transform our own reality into something richer and more fulfilling, but we also create a more positive, meaningful impact on the world around us.
