The body often whispers before it shouts.
Stress, discomfort, emotional overload, lack of enrichment, environmental imbalance, and unmet needs often appear in subtle ways long before they become major challenges. Wellness begins when we learn to notice the whispers. What is your Body softly saying to you today? Slow down? Get more rest? Move more? It's important to listen to the whispers before they become screams. The longer they go unheard, the more work it will take to return to balance. The more it will affect other areas of your life as well. What are you going to do this week to bring your mind and body back to balance?

My body has been whispering to me for some time. As a full time working mom, my day starts early and ends late. The time I find for myself rarely gets used for just me. My work is in a high stress/burnout field and I have not been able to slow down. The other morning, I woke up and could barely move. I kept waking up throughout the night with my neck, shoulders and back seizing. I felt like I could hardly open my eyes, pounding headache and the overwhelm of exhausted flooded by body. Anytime I would try to move my body seized. This was a huge wake up call for me as I am 26 years old and I have never not been able to move upon opening my eyes. Eventually I dragged myself out of bed, got to work late and booked 2 same day appointments to go to between my meetings. I came to learn that cortisol was basically flooding my body, stress had forced my body to stop. I ended up getting an urgent massage therapy appointment and a doctors appointment to get some things to help. My doctor cautioned me that I need to put myself and take a good look at my life and my routines. I was also encouraged to reach out to a counsellor. Which I have. I knew I was running on empty, but I kept going with no maintenance until I stopped. Our bodies are amazing and hold so much wisdom
