Scripture: “Let us not love with words or speech, but with actions and i n truth.” Reflection: It hurts when faith is spoken but love isn’t felt. When people know the right words but struggle to show care, presence, or empathy. God never intended faith to replace love. He intended it to produce it. You are allowed to acknowledge the disconnect without shame. Wanting love that reflects Gods heart is not unspiritual- it is biblical. If we go back to 1John 3 and read the entire chapter, it is a good reminder that we are Gods children now, not some day, not conditionally. Key Truths: - Gods love defines our identity, not peoples treatment of us. - Living in Christ produces love, not harm or neglect. - Love is not words done, it is action and truth. - Gods presence brings confidence not fear or shame. DAY TWO PRAYER Dear Father, You see the ache I carry when words about you are spoken, but love toward me feels absent. You see the confusion of honoring faith while longing for tenderness. You see how I have tried to reconcile scripture with silence and belief with emotional distance. Today I bring you the disappointments that I have minimized. The hurt I have justified. The questions I have been afraid to ask out loud. Lord, I don’t want my heart to grow bitter or closed. But I also do not want to keep pretending that I am ok, when Im not. Teach me how to hold truth and grace together- without losing myself. Remind me that love is not proven by words alone, but by presence, humility, and care. Help me release the pressure to make things look spiritual when they feel painful. Give me the wisdom to discern what is mine to carry and what is not. Give me peace that does not depend on someone else’s growth on awareness. And give me rest from striving to be enough to earn the love I desire. Today I choose to believe that you are near. That you are attentive and that you are forming something good in me- even here. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus.
