Hello - will the recording for yesterday's miracle session be ready prior to next Friday's session? I wasn't able to experience the whole day so hoping to catch up on my own.
Hi Nuala, I hope to see you on our call later today. Are these the Pitfalls you are talkiing about, or is there another set you are referring to? I'm also trying to get over to the Done for You doc. The 4 Pitfalls of Coaching Resistance - Bars: This represents the "Inner Critic" or "Rules." These are the rigid "shoulds" and "musts" that act like a cage. Clients feel trapped by their own standards or the fear of being judged if they step outside their current "safe" identity. - Chains: This refers to "Loyalty and Vows." These are the invisible links to family, past generations, or old groups. For example, a "chain" might be a subconscious vow never to out-earn your parents or to never be "one of those wealthy people." - Quicksand: This is the "Emotional Swallows" or "Overwhelm." When a client tries to take action, they are suddenly pulled down by a heavy, sinking feeling—often a mix of old grief, shame, or deep-seated anxiety that makes moving forward feel physically exhausting. - The Fog (The 4th Pitfall): You were looking for the fourth one! Margaret often refers to this as "The Fog" or "The Void." It is the state of total confusion and lack of clarity. When a client gets close to a breakthrough, their brain suddenly "short-circuits," and they say, "I just don't know what to do next," effectively shielding them from the fear of the actual change.
