šŸ”„šŸ¦ Mini-Challenge: How Fluent Do You Want to Become?
Let’s think long term for a second šŸ˜ Not everyone has the same goal. Some people want to reach a level where they can: šŸ‘‰ travelšŸ‘‰ have conversationsšŸ‘‰ watch moviesšŸ‘‰ enjoy life in the language Others want something bigger. šŸ‘‰ Near-native fluencyšŸ‘‰ Total comfortšŸ‘‰ Full expressionšŸ‘‰ Mastery Leo has thoughts: 🦁 Lions don’t all hunt the same way. Different goals. Different journeys. ā“ The Question How fluent do you want to become in the language you’re learning — and why? Would you be happy with: 🟔 ā€œGood enoughā€ communication (around B2-ish)or šŸ”„ Near-native mastery (C2 level) Or something in between? šŸ“ Your Task • Answer in your target language• Describe the level you want to reach• Explain why that level matters to you• Career? Travel? Family? Culture? Personal challenge?• Go beyond one sentence• Use AI as needed ✨ Example ā€œMy goal is strong conversational fluency. I want to speak naturally, understand movies, and communicate comfortably. I don’t necessarily need perfection, but I want confidence.ā€ No right answer. Just your goal. How far do YOU want to go? šŸ¦šŸ”„šŸŒ

I would say that it depends on my goal with that specific language really. Generally, I'd say that B2 (high intermediate) would be "enough" unless I really needed the language for something more specific
šŸŽ™ļøšŸ¦ Mini-Challenge: What’s Your Favorite English Accent?
Easy and fun one today šŸ˜„ English has so many different accents: šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø AmericanšŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ BritishšŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗ AustralianšŸ‡®šŸ‡Ŗ IrishšŸ‡æšŸ‡¦ South African…and many more (and many regional ones, of course - there’s isn’t just one ā€œBritish accentā€) šŸ˜Ž Some people love the classic British ā€œreceived pronunciation.ā€Others prefer a more relaxed American accent from movies and TV. And some people love very regional accents šŸ˜„ ā“ The Question What’s your favorite English accent — and why? Do you prefer:• Standard American?• British RP?• Scottish?• Australian?• Something else? šŸ“ Your Task • Answer in your target language• Say which English accent you like the most• Explain why• You can talk about sound, clarity, culture, movies, personality, etc.• Go beyond one sentence• Use AI as needed ✨ Example ā€œMy favorite English accent is British RP because it sounds elegant and clear to me. I also associate it with history, literature, and classic films.ā€ Accents change everything. Which one wins for you? šŸŽ™ļøšŸ¦šŸ”„

@Samuel Cinati Teixeira that's a good question :) it is pretty unique I'd say! You should check out "Derry Girls" on Youtube, most characters in the show have this accent
✨🦁 Mini-Challenge: What’s Your Favorite Word in Your Target Language?
Every language has certain words that just… hit differently šŸ˜„ Maybe they sound beautiful.Maybe they express something perfectly.Maybe they just make you smile every time you hear them. Leo has favorites too, obviously 🦁 ā“ The Question What’s your favorite word in your target language — and why? šŸ“ Your Task - Answer in your target language - Share your favorite word - Explain what it means and why you like it - It can be beautiful, funny, emotional, powerful, or just satisfying to say - Go beyond one sentence - Use AI as needed ✨ Example ā€œMy favorite word in French is retrouvailles. It describes the happiness of seeing someone again after a long time. I like it because it feels emotional and very specific.ā€ One word can carry a whole culture. What’s yours? āœØšŸ¦šŸ’¬

šŸŒšŸ¦ Mini-Challenge: 5 Languages at Intermediate… or 1 at Native Level?
Would you rather… learn 5 new languages at B1… or 1 at C2? Alright… this one is a real dilemma šŸ˜ You’re given a choice. No loopholes. No ā€œboth.ā€ šŸ‘‰ Option A: Speak 5 new languages at B1 (low intermediate) You can travel, have conversations, survive easily… but you’re not fully fluent. šŸ‘‰ Option B: Speak 1 new language at C2 (near-native level) You sound natural, precise, and fully expressive — but it’s only one language. Leo steps in… 🦁 ā€œLions don’t collect languages… they master them.ā€ā€¦or do they? šŸ˜„ ā“ The Question Would you rather speak 5 languages at B1 or 1 language at C2 — and why? šŸ“ Your Task • Answer in your target language • Choose Option A or B and explain your reasoning • You can talk about travel, career, identity, or personal goals • Go beyond one sentence • Use AI as needed ✨ Example ā€œI would choose five languages at B1 because I love traveling and connecting with different cultures. Even if I’m not fluent, I can communicate with many people, and that’s very valuable to me.ā€ Breadth… or depth? What matters more to you? šŸŒšŸ¦šŸ”„

Direi cinque lingue nuove a livello B1, perchĆ© secondo me sarebbe una base molto più interessante. A livello B1 puoi giĆ  iniziare a parlare, capire conversazioni semplici, leggere contenuti reali e soprattutto sentire se quella lingua ti piace davvero.

šŸ”„šŸ“± Mini-Challenge: Can a Language App Be Enough?
Alright… controversial one today šŸ˜ Language apps are everywhere. Convenient. Structured. Easy to use. But here’s the real question: šŸ‘‰ Can a language app be complete? šŸ‘‰ Can someone become truly fluent using ONLY apps? Leo has thoughts… 🦁 ā€œLions don’t just tap screens… they face the real world.ā€ ā“ The Question Do you think a language app can be enough to fully learn a language? Yes or no — and why? šŸ“ Your Task • Answer in your target language • Say yes or no clearly • Explain your reasoning • You can use personal experience or examples • Go beyond one sentence • Use AI as needed ✨ Example ā€œI don’t think a language app is enough by itself. It can help with vocabulary and structure, but real communication requires speaking and interacting with people. Apps are useful, but they are only one part of the process.ā€ Simple question. Not so simple answer. What do you think? šŸ“±šŸ¦šŸ”„

@JosĆ© Lucas De Sousa Feitosa Yeah, I’d say I agree with you overall :) What’s really powerful today is not one app, but the fact that we have access to so many different resources. You can use apps, yes, but also videos, podcasts, games, conversations, even teachers. Each one gives you something a bit different.. If someone stays only on one app, even a very good one, they will miss a lot. A language is not just vocabulary or small exercises. It’s how people really speak, how they react, how they express ideas in different situations. And you can only see that if you explore different formats. I also like your point that even a small course can teach something new, even to an advanced learner. That’s very true. There is always something to learn from different sources.
