Book Club Recap - Atomic Habits Intro + Chapter 1
Hey Family, Huge thank you to everyone who tuned in for our first ever ClosersKlub Book Club livestream! We had a few technical hiccups (thanks for your patience), but we pushed through and set the tone for what this journey is all about: elevating our habits to elevate our lives. We kicked things off with Atomic Habits by James Clear—diving into the Intro + Chapter 1, and unpacking the foundation of lasting change. Highlights from the Livestream: 1. Why Habits Matter: Ever wonder how two people from the same household can have completely different outcomes—one an addict, the other a millionaire? Habits. Small choices, repeated daily, shape who we become. 2. What is an Atomic Habit? - Atomic: Extremely small, but the source of massive energy. - Habit: A regular practice or automatic behavior triggered by context. Key Takeaways: • Trauma Transforms James Clear’s journey proves that setbacks can be the fuel for greatness—if we let them. • Compounding Change Your current habits predict your future. Same habits = same results. Better habits = exponential growth. (Just like Ronald Read, the janitor who quietly amassed $8M by investing consistently over decades.) • Marginal Gains Strategy Inspired by the British Cycling Team—1% improvements led to Olympic dominance. 1% better every day = 37x improvement in a year. • Goals vs Systems ā€œWinners and losers have the same goals.ā€ Systems—your daily habits—are what create long-term success. Fix the inputs, and the outputs take care of themselves. • The Valley of Disappointment Progress isn’t linear. Like melting ice, nothing seems to happen until the breakthrough. Don’t quit too early. Identity-Based Habits: Forget goals like ā€œI want to lose weightā€ or ā€œI want to save money.ā€ Start with who you want to become: ā€œI am a healthy person.ā€ ā€œI am a disciplined investor.ā€ Your habits shape your identity—and your identity reinforces your habits. ā€œTo change who you are, change what you do.ā€ 2-Step Identity Shift:

🚨 Harvard Real Estate Symposium 2025 Takeaways
Good Morning Family, I attended the Harvard University annual Real Estate Symposium this weekend with @Mauricio Florian and it was an amazing event with tons of insights to help us navigate an unpredictable real estate market, especially under a new political administration. I just dropped a full recap inside the Investors Edge Community — here’s the quick version: • Multifamily is about to explode again (rates dropping soon) • Midterm rentals are the new Airbnb • Data centers? Oversaturated. • Industrial warehouse = huge upside • Land + Entitlement = hidden wealth creation • And why rent control cities = landmine investments you MUST avoid. If you’re serious about growing your real estate portfolio in 2025 and beyond, you need to read this. → Full post inside the Investor’s Edge Community. Drop a comment if you’re building for this next cycle! Let’s win together. https://www.skool.com/investorsedge/about?ref=1b7f36860d5d4d56951c1616d61095e9

I loved the day recap video. I'm all about the midterm rentals too. More secure than Airbnb, but more profit than single family rentals. Thanks for sharing with us!
