OOh the Fabric!! OOOh boy!
Good afternoon my fabric friends!! I have been AWOL this morning because A) I slept in lol after watching youtube video's late last night lol and B) I went thru 2 rooms with fabric and moved bins and sorted thru boxes to get the fabric panels and swatches for the jeans I am working on!! I am soooo excited... the more I dug the happier I got! Also I'm waiting for the Dyemore dies to come.... I ordered like 8 different colors.... so far 3 have arrived. Oh so exciting! I've never played with Dye before but our own Traci makes it look so easy I am going to go for it. I'll shoot some pics of my finds in a bit... I need some fuel and a little rest!!

@Mary Roseling oooo! Those first two!!!😍
Hoarder or Thrifty??? That is the question!
Okay it's already been established that I have a ton of fabric.... I stopped counting at 5000 yards. Truly I know this because I wound about 1/2 of my stash on comic book cards....the other half is in totes in my fabric room... I also have 3 large commercial wide filing cabinets in the "Christmas Room" (yeah I know crazy). 1 Cabinet is full of Christmas fabric and another with Specialty and other holiday fabric. The 3rd is full of my embroidery substrates. I bought fabric at the end of each season for my quilting.... when it was put in the 50% off or more bins at the quilting stores. This is quilt store quality... which for a long time was signficantly different. Then I have since bought a lot of rare and out of print fabric at n estate sale.... I mean it was there staring at me and NOBODY was paying any attention to it. I bought all of it and then entertained people as they watched me fill my car up. I'm fairly certain there was betting going on and whomever betted FOR me won! I tucked fabric and such under my seats, in the compartments and back of my seatbacks... I didn't know I had space there before. I had so much that I could only see out of my right side mirror by leaning forward as I held the goodies in place with my right arm. Floor to ceiling and one of my tire alarms was lit up in my control panel lol. I had a helper hold in some stuff with my drivers door window partially opened and closed the final door... there was actual applause! This has come in handy.... with JoAnn's out of business and with only Walmart and a Hobby Lobby and a couple of quilt stores to get fabric....I am set for life right now!!! Plus I love to introduce new people to sewing and give them supplies and fabric to get started.... I love that aspect! Tell my your Thrifty or Hoarder stories!

Ohhh! I did that one time! Estate sale, TONS of fabric! Picked out what I wanted and was trying to keep not under control! Last day of the sale I contacted the guy and he said there was still a lot left. Drive to the house the next day after work, left a note for the next of kin. She called me and said whatever was left was going in the dumpster! 😱😱😱 My man talked me into taking it all. I have used some of it but it’s STILL sitting in my LR. Most of it is full cuts of vintage polyester. Haven’t had time to list anything to try to sell. So I may just donate it to the local fashion college.

@Mary Roseling well I didn’t know what was left. I just showed up and we V loaded it! Oh! Also got a FREE L shaped desk! Which I needed!! And then my 6 ft table became my craft table! No more using the floor! 😂😂
Dias de las Muertes Costume
Here is a costume that I made/embellished for a client. She had the black dress and a red straw hat wanted to use them....and she wanted a Bustle and the dress to be used iwth and witout it..... I had only 3 days! So I made the sash with the bustle attached,,, underneath it was a separate sash she could use if she decided to take the bustle off. This was for a fancy party in Mexico itself! A makeup artist did her finishing touch! She loved it and I wish I would have had more time!
