SEPT 28 DAY CHALLENGE - Daily Dones Accountability post
This is this month's challenge (Starts on the 1st and finishes on the 28th, but you can join in whenever you want) =============================================== THIS MONTH'S CHALLENGE (Actions) 🍗 Consume 1 portion of protein in your first meal of the day. - The majority of people's protein intake is very low, and breakfast seems to be the meal that challenges people the most. Aim for 20 - 40g 💪🏻 📝 Post in the Daily Done - This is the ultimate consistency challenge. Post a picture of a positive action or your tracker and what you have done for the day =============================================== IMPORTANT NOTICE - this post doesn’t close on the 28th. Keep posting your daily dones in here right through to the end of the month. (Unless the month only has 28 days) A new challenge & new post goes up on the 1st; this one gets replaced then, not before. =============================================== As always, feel free to choose what you want to focus on if our suggestions don’t tickle your pickle 😊👍🏻 YOU CAN JOIN AT ANY TIME - if you’ve missed the start, it doesn’t matter; something is better than nothing BE SPECIFIC - “I’m going to walk more every day” is NOT specific. “Every morning at 6.30 am I’m going to walk for 15 minutes outside” is specific Use the tracker provided (link is in the Resources & Tools section in the classroom) or create and use your own ACTION TO TAKE NOW - Comment below what you will be doing for the next 28 days - whether that’s following our suggestion, doing your own or a bit of both The purpose of this post is for you to share your Daily Dones 👇🏻 ✅ Pictures of whatever you are doing (Food, sweaty selfies, chugging back some water, etc) ✅ Screenshot of your Tracker ✅ Daily check-in to say what went well (celebrate those wins) ✅ Ask questions (related to the challenge)

5/5 on a school day! Really pleased as my water intake usually let's me down.

Hadn't reached my steps target by tonight, but some pacing ip and down the garden did the trick!

Steps all done and 2.5L of water. Determined to build consistency with drinking before heading back to work.
Slow cooker
I prefer using skinless, boneless chicken thighs and drum fillets in my slow cooker rather than breast meat. The darker meat stays beautifully juicy and tender, making it perfect for slow cooking, curries, kebabs, stir-fries — and even high-heat cooking.

Love the marry me chicken recipe, I can imagine it would be even better with chicken thighs. These are my go to books for slow cooker meals.
BRAIN GAINS 🧠 💪🏻
I am currently putting together the videos and resources for the Brain Gains section. Everything will have a little bit of theory and explanation as to why it works. The main objectives as always will be in the IMPLEMENTATION of the tool, strategy etc. My question for you is what do you need help with specifically when it comes to all things brain, behaviour, mindset etc? @Amy Flack @Vesi Angelova @Bev Shortley @Danni Broughton @Lisa Brook @Steven Brodie @Carly Copping @Claire Mackaness @Clare Gittings @Janine Copley @Ruth Crowson @Sharon Conquer @David Weston @Natasha Dettmer @Sally Dimmock @Yvonne Dane @Gary Watson @Julia Gorton @Kathryn Hamill @Janice Ryder @Kerry Johnstone @Katie Styles @Kelly Saghir @Mandy Kenyon @Louise Porter @Mandy Powell @Nicci Parris @Sarah Quinney @Simon Roberts @Sally Saunders

Emotional eating. Bad day at work leads to deserving 'a treat' Making too many big changes at once which leads to a lack of consistency and it doesn't help to form good habits.

You’ve just done what most midlifers stuck in the Comfort Trap don’t do... Take action. High five for that. Talking of action, let's start now 👇 ✅ DO THESE THINGS RIGHT NOW 1. Introduce yourself below. Tell us your name, where you’re from, why you’re here and your favourite 90s movie 2. Turn your notifications ON in here so you don’t miss what’s happening. (Make sure to enable notifications from the Skool app on your phone too) 3. Go to the Getting Started course in the classroom and go through it 4. It's never too late to get involved in the '28 day get shit done challenge', so even if you have joined the community halfway through the month, you can still take part - click here to find out how - CLICK ME 5. Got questions? Please post them in the questions tab, and we will answer them as soon as we can. 6. We are all about celebrating wins in here, no matter how small they are, so make sure you share yours in the Share your wins tab 🧠 THE ONE IDEA EVERYTHING HERE IS BUILT ON JDS = Just Do Something, Just Don’t Stop. Something is always better than sod all. Miss a day, fine, you go again tomorrow. Aim to never miss two in a row. That’s it, that’s the whole game, and it’s the thing that actually gets people from Comfort Trapped to Old Skool. See you in the comments. Bjorn & James P.S Here's that high five for being here

Hey, I'm Katie, 38 from Kent. I look forward to being here to help get myself back on track! A few years ago I'd lost a lot of weight and felt great for it! Roll on a few years, bad habits have crept back in, along with gaining weight back. I am very ready to take accountability and to build healthy habits amongst a supportive community. Seeing Bjorn's journey has certainly been a huge inspiration and I've finally put my big girl pants on to do something about it! Film: Drop Dead Fred!

@Bjorn Dawson I've been through it all so far and it is great! The videos have all been really useful, I've completed the audit so I know what to focus on and have added my 3 challenges to the tracker. I'm sure that I'll have some questions as I go though 😊
