Hi everyone, I’m so glad you’re here 😊 Welcome to Where Colour Dreams a colourful space for painting, learning and creating at home. This community is where I share my art, painting kits, art lessons and creative ideas inspired by gemstones, birthstones, flowers, colour and light. If you’ve bought one of my painting kits, this is where you’ll find the video lesson and extra help. If you’re here because you love painting, colour, flowers, nature, shimmer or just want a bit more creativity in your life, you’re very welcome too. I’m Katie Jarman, a professional artist and qualified teacher with 20 years of teaching experience. (Yep, I’m feeling old!) I’ve always been drawn to little treasures from nature. As a child I loved collecting shells, stones and pretty things that caught the light. I think that feeling has stayed with me. That tiny moment of noticing something beautiful. A shell on the beach. A stone with a sparkle in it. A flower opening in the garden. A colour that makes you stop for a second. That is the feeling I try to bring into my paintings. My artwork is full of colour, nature, gemstones, flowers, shimmer and light. I love helping people feel more confident with art, especially if they haven’t painted for years or feel a bit unsure where to start. Inside this community, you’ll find: ✨ Painting kit video lessons ✨ Simple creative projects ✨ Birthstone and gemstone painting ideas ✨ Behind the scenes from my studio ✨ Tips for colour, paint, gold and mixed media ✨ Occasional lives and paint alongs ✨ A place to share what you make To get started, introduce yourself below and tell me: What’s your birth month? Or what little treasure from nature have you always been drawn to? Shells, stones, flowers, leaves, feathers, crystals, colours? You don’t need to be amazing at art to be here. Just bring a bit of curiosity, a love of colour and the willingness to have a go. I’m so happy you’re here. Katie 💫

Looking forward to watching & learning. I've been painting for one year this month and have a little more that 200 paintings in my body of work. I paint for my joy and hope others glean joy from my paintings as well. Here are a few of my works. I work in watercolor, cold wax & pigment, oil pastels, acrylics and water-mixable oils

I’m finishing my video demo for my first art kit design! I’ll have 10 box kits with everything you will need to create your own gemstone, in my style. Let me know if you want me to reserve you a kit. as you can see I started with this unique sunflower preserved within a gemstone. Learn how to paint glass, use stencils and even how to drip ink!

My first ever art kit is coming soon!! All the materials you need to make your own gemstone.

What flowers would you love?? I’m thinking about a four seasons set. With a staff, sunflower. But the question is what could I do for autumn??
