In my previous post here I mentioned the 1000 NOs project idea. I don't really document my rejections or positive responses...but I feel like maybe I should?... This way I could see results of my efforts, whatever they may be....And even to be more organised and remind myself where I already sent an email and when(to follow up)... So in her case, she's not a photographer, obviously....But the point is still the same! Here's the video where she explained it 🤗 What do you think?

Great work on all your outreach emails and messages! I started a spreadsheet for my NOs. I like documenting and keeping track of these things, it reminds me of how much I've done even if it doesn't feel like enough.

@Anastasiia Dunaieva 64 attempts!! I'm beyond impressed and I know you will just keep adding to it. I just started mine and can only think of these 4 attempts from earlier this year but once I'm done working on this movie in Boston at the end of June I will dive into outreach more full time. For now I will work on it on the weekends. I put a Rejection Counter on the top to motivate me haha it auto updates when "Rejection" is selected

100 outreaches a day, keeps the rest days away 😂
After doing so many outreaches you'll be shocked how many opportunities you get after a month. If you're not busy right now and you are desperate for more work try it. Cold call, cold email, sms, in person, I don't care. Just do it, any form, 100 a day. "Only focus on the inputs, the outputs will take care of themselves" - @Luka Picca

Been busy on a project in Boston this past month so I'm just getting around to the group again! Tomorrow I leave for a 5 day retreat I've been hired to do the photo/video for! I'm hoping to get more retreat gigs from it but when I get back I am diving into as many outreaches as I can do for more travel photography work. Happy cold calls!

Change Setup Idea
I use a Canon R8 v 24-50 4-6f lens. Lately, I've been undecided between buying a Sony A7RIV and a Tamron 24-70 f2.8 or an A7RIV and a Tamron 35-150 f2.8. If I change my setup, I need to take on more work to pay for it, but I'm worried about how I'm going to manage that. What are your thoughts on this?

@Burak Fidan Hi Burak, I strongly recommend not taking out a loan for camera gear! It's a major risk, especially for us freelancers when work can dry up suddenly. I have been using the same Sony 6400 for professional work for the last 5 years, there's cheaper options than the Sony A7RIV. And I got the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 for a couple hundred dollars on Facebook marketplace. I recommend saving up for your next camera. If you really have to turn to a loan just make sure the interest rate is lower than 10%, preferably closer to 5% but I know they don't usually go that low. I can help ya brainstorm ways to save up if you want! I want to see you get the gear you want and progress in your career, rooting for you!

@Burak Fidan Oh wow 1% is great, I get nervous about loans because I've seen them really burden friends and family in the past. Always good to hear you have a plan for repaying the remaining. What kind of photography do you do?
