Dry skin and dehydrated skin are NOT the same thing… and treating them the same is why your skin never improves.
👉 Stay with me, this one simple distinction can completely change how your skin looks and how you care for it. 👇👇👇 Drop “WATER” if you’ve been focusing on hydration Drop “OIL” if you realize now your skin actually needs lipids

Dry skin and dehydrated skin are not the same thing, because one lacks oil, and the other lacks water. When you look at dehydrated skin, it often feels tight, looks dull, and may show fine lines or uneven texture, but it can still produce oil. That’s why someone can look shiny yet feel uncomfortable. It can be corrected. Dry skin, on the other hand, is a skin type. It lacks oil (lipids), which means the skin barrier is naturally weaker. Visually, dry skin appears flaky, rough, or sensitive, and texturally it feels thin or fragile. You cannot “fix” dry skin, you can only support and manage it long-term by replenishing oils and strengthening the barrier. Comment for tips on what can help.
