Fear (Motivation or Freedom?)
Great discussion on "Fear and Ego." So true about fear and how we are guided by our fear in so many areas of our life. I am reminded of when I decided to leave my secure job at a university to venture out and find a new life. I sold everything, bought an RV and traveled for two years. I believe I was motivated by the fear of not reaching my full potential in life (I felt stuck). That fear pushed me on a journey of finding my true purpose. I think fear can be motivating too. I can see where letting go of the fear in our life could be freeing as well. Very interesting topic :)

I am so good Kathy. Fear is a tricky one for sure! I understand the fear and ego, but I am struggling with the concept of making decisions based on love. Instead of making decisions based on fear, make decisions based on love? Love of self, love of others?

@Monika Siebert yes I have been here in AZ over a year now and I really love it. I am at peace for sure. I think I am still on a journey and maybe I always will be. It may seem strange, but when I was married to my husband (before he passed away), I felt like I was at home and I belonged. Now that I am alone (my children live in other states), I feel like I do not really belong anywhere. A big part of me is at peace, but I seem to be searching still for another soul to bond with (if that makes sense). Thank you for asking me that questions, it has really made me think :)

Awesome, I may need to listen a couple times to have it really sink in! Thank you Brad for another interesting topic and making me think :)
Defining Your Purpose!
Super good study on finding your purpose. I too read the Untethered Soul by Michael Singer or should I say I studied that book for months. It really helped me after my husband passed away to move beyond grief and the anxiety of his death. When Brad talks about becoming love, I had to find the definition of love because I couldn't relate to just being love. Wikipedia says that love is considered to be both positive and negative, with its virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection—"the unselfish, loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another." OK this helps me to understand what it means to be love. It makes sense to lose fear and the ego and just be kind, compassionate and show affection for others. Looking back on my first experience with the shift that I was driven by my fear and my ego. Months later now, I can honestly say that I have shifted into a more loving, kind and compassionate person. I was shifting for all the wrong things! Now that I have been working at love, patience, kindness and compassion, my original shifts are coming in abundantly. 1) Practice really seeing others and listening to them with compassion in my heart. 2) Thank God daily for the abundance He is bringing into my life so I can help others. 3) Focus more on the blessings I have in my life, instead of what I do not have.

@Brad Pickett I pretty much grew up with no emotion so when I think of love or trying to figure out what I am feeling, I usually draw a blank. I have to work on this day after day. :)
A nice perspective
Sometimes when we relax from constantly striving... we get exactly what we were striving for. ✨️🙌

Right? It took me walking through grief a couple times to people very close to me to realize life is very precious and we really need to enjoy each day to the fullest :)
