Say hi. Tell us three things.
I'll start. I'm Carolyn. I've been a teacher, behavior specialist, professional development coordinator and a few other things along the way. When I left teaching, I felt like a failure. It took me a long time to understand that I couldn't stay because I was living in a constantly activated state, and it wasn't just showing up at work. It was showing up in how I parented, too. Your turn.

Hi, I‘m Kathrin, I teach English, Spanish and PE (in Germany). So, our school systems might be a bit different, but the challenges are not, I guess. I have two kids (6 and 4) and currently we still have our summer break in Germany. But I just can‘t unwind. I have trouble sleeping and I just realized that all the character traits/ways I used to behave or react to challenges seem to have gone or it‘s harder to access them: like being calm, being gracious and forgiving (to myself) etc. I feel wired all the time and I actually dread the end of summer and not having been able to relax. I can also relate to @Carolyn Contreras that it shows up in my parenting now, too. So, hi everyone.
