Anyone running an Australian Skool community priced in USD?
Hey legends, I’m based in Australia and in the process of launching a paid Skool community, but because pricing is USD only I wanted to sanity check something first. For anyone running (or who has run) an AUS / non US community priced in USD: - Did USD pricing create any real friction? - Any pushback around exchange rates or card fees? - Did it affect conversions at all, or was it basically a non-issue? - Anything you’d do differently looking back? Keen to hear from people with real experience rather than theory. Appreciate any insights 🙌

@Yakub Pacho Dennis No I don't use either of those because they have no ability to add upsells or order bumps. I only use Skool without the ability to increase average order value because they manage all the tax and churn etc but I wouldn't be using any kind of other checkout unless it has bumps and upsells (I currently use Thrivecart for that)

@Yakub Pacho Dennis I feel like we're not on the same page here.
Advice: how to get members to post more content
Hi everyone 👋 I've got 50 members in my paid group (started 3 weeks ago) and they're great. They engage when I post but not when I don't. I want to encourage them to post and engage themselves without me having to prod them. Anyone got any tips ? Thank you

This conversation has been coming up a lot in the main Skool group, here are some tips I shared with someone in there the other day but definitely do a search in there (even just scan the first few pages - I think there have been 3-4 conversations in there in the past couple of days about it) First of all, congrats on 50 pard members, that's awesome. Also you are SO early in the journey, it takes time to build trust with a brand new group. 3 weeks in, they're just sussing you and the others in the space out but it's awesome that they're engaging with your posts. Okay, here are some ideas for you: 👉 You could also incentivise and reward them posting - eg, pinning posts and celebrating people who start conversations (ie behaviours you want to see more of in the group), choose a monthly 'Conversation Starter" or "Community Ambassador" to shout out, create a challenge, or "wins" category. 👉 Connect the members of the group with each other, because it's not just about you. Start some engagement threads where people can share similarities with each other and not be strangers any more and will feel more comfortable sharing. 👉 If you are creating long form content, this will also build quicker trust with your people IN the group, as well as bring new people your way (eg YouTube, podcast, etc). A Google study from last year says that your people need at least 7 hours, 11 touch points, across 4 platforms before they buy from you. But why do people buy? Because they trust you and that you can help them. The same goes for engagement. Show them they can trust you and that you can really help them.

@Angela Walker so glad you found it helpful!
My first few members
Hi everyone, new to Skool. Excited to share I've got my first few members, all organically through Skool. I'm an experienced graphic designer and course creator and I'm currently moving all of my content across from another all-in-one site. Its a great all in one system but overly complex and I came to realise I was spending too much time on the 'system' and not enough on my 'community'. So Skool seems like a breath of fresh air so far!

Such a powerful realisation, @Hayley Eaton! I love Skool for its simplicity and how easy it is to connect with your community. Congrats on the first few members as well 🥰

If you could ask a mindset coach one question… what would it be?
Hey y'all! I’m planning to bring a mindset coach into my own community soon — someone who’s personally helped me through so many breakthroughs as a business owner and mom. But I’m realizing that since I’ve done a lot of work in this area already, it’s actually hard for me to think of what beginner-level mindset topics would help the most. So I’d love your input: If you could ask a mindset or life coach one question — what would it be? Or what kind of mindset topics do you think new business owners need the most? (Maybe things like confidence, consistency, fear of being seen, imposter syndrome, etc.) Thanks in advance — I really want this session to meet people exactly where they are 💛

I love community collaborations as a way to add more depth to what you offer! I would definitely ask your community what questions they would like answered because that is going to give them so much extra support - but I'm sure you're doing that too! I think for new business owners, it's important to help them see that they're just at the start and usually following people who are much further ahead than them - I think a good question would be how to help your people reframe that experience and enjoy the journey.
