5 contributions to LANG EFFECT MENTORSHIP
Here’s where your focus goes this week:
1. Get your foundation right. Capability statement tight, registrations active, past performance clean. If a buyer looks you up, what do they see? 2. Know your lane. Micro-purchases move fast and simple for a reason. Find the buyers who need what you already deliver, and make it easy for them to say yes. 3. Stay in the room. Show up in the community, post your wins, ask your questions. The people who engage are the people who close. The buyers are spending. The clock is ticking. And while everybody else is sleeping on it, you’re going to be the one holding the contract. Drop a 🔥 in the comments if you’re locked in this season. Tell me one move you’re making this week. Let’s get it. #LANGEffect | Micro Gov Contracts Mastery

Kickoff Complete- The Journey has begun
Today I had my one-on-one kickoff meeting with Dr. Lang, and I left feeling inspired, encouraged, and even more determined to grow my business. One thing that stood out to me was how intentionally she listened. She didn’t just hear my goals—she took the time to understand my story, my experience, and my vision. She identified opportunities I hadn’t considered and helped me create a clear roadmap for moving forward. This program is already challenging me to think differently, and I’m excited to put in the work. Current Progress: ✅ One-on-one kickoff meeting completed ✅ City of Detroit Supplier Registration completed ✅ Supplier profile update submitted (pending approval) ✅ Registered as a Michigan Vendor ✅ UEI obtained ⏳ CAGE Code pending ⏳ Capability Statement in progress ⏳ Continuing to build my government contracting foundation To everyone else in this cohort: keep showing up, keep asking questions, and keep doing the work. Every step forward—no matter how small—is progress. We all started somewhere, and consistency will take us where we want to go. Thank you, Dr. Lang, for your guidance and for believing in our potential. I’m looking forward to what’s next!
Collaboration Is the New Currency
Family, I want to open a new kind of thread in this community. Every one of you in the Lang Effect Mentorship Collective is building toward the same outcome, consistent government contract revenue, but you are not all building alone. Some of your biggest breakthroughs will not come from a solicitation you find on SAM.gov or your state and local procurement portals. They will come from the person sitting right next to you in this room. Primes need subs. Subs need primes. Teaming partners need each other's NAICS codes, certifications, and capacity to win bids none of you could win solo. That only happens if we know what each other brings to the table. Here is the ask. Most of you already have your approved capability statement from our work together. Post it in this thread. Your name, location, and the 2 to 3 contract lanes you are actively pursuing Your UEI and CAGE code Your capability statement attached!! Then look at what your fellow mentees post. If you see a lane that complements yours, comment or DM them. That is how teaming agreements start. That is how subcontracts get built. That is how this cohort becomes a network instead of a class. I built United Federal Contractors on relationships long before I built it on contracts. The $5 billion in partnership terms I have structured over 25 years did not come from working in isolation. It came from knowing who was in the room and what they could execute. This room is full of people who can execute. Let's start acting like it. Post your capability statement below. Let's get to work. As we assemble our Council of Members, something exciting is happening behind the scenes. Our technology team is diligently building The Lang Effect Collective experience. Every course room, resource library, implementation system, and collaboration space is being thoughtfully designed around the Business DNA of our members. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, we’re creating an ecosystem that supports the real needs, challenges, and growth opportunities of this community. Over the coming days and weeks, you’ll notice new course rooms, tools, templates, trainings, and resources being released as we continue to build this platform together. We encourage you to: - Complete your profile and introduce yourself. - Share your business and goals. - Check the community frequently for new updates, resources, and announcements. - Participate in conversations and support fellow members. - Be ready to learn, collaborate, and execute. This isn’t just a place to consume information—it’s a place to build relationships, create opportunities, and achieve measurable results. Thank you for joining us at the beginning of something special. Welcome to The Lang Effect Collective. We’re just getting started.
