Art prompt - Windows of Joy
Imagine you are designing a series of small windows that look into moments of happiness from your life. Each window is a tiny artwork that captures a feeling, a memory, or a moment of calm. You can create these using any medium you like: drawing, painting, collage, plasticine, or even simple sketches. Your task: Create 1–3 “windows” that each show a different joyful or comforting moment. For each window, think about: • What moment are you showing? (It can be real or imagined) • What is happening inside the scene? • What colours best represent the feeling? • What shapes, textures, or patterns appear in the moment? • What time of day or lighting fits the mood? Extra creative ideas: • Frame each window differently (circle, heart, arch, torn paper edge) • Add symbolic details (objects, weather, animals, stars, etc.)• Let each window represent a different type of joy (calm joy, excited joy, quiet comfort, nostalgia) Reflection: If all your windows were placed together, what kind of place would they form? There is no pressure for perfection—this is about exploring emotion through imagery and colour rather than technical skill. If you want to share photos of your work, feel free or just write down something about what the creative process was like for you!

✨ Creative Writing Prompt - Pocket of Joy
Imagine that every happy memory you've ever had can be stored inside a small object that fits in your pocket. What object would you choose? It could be something ordinary, such as a pebble, a key, a button, a ticket stub, or a shell. Or it could be something completely imaginary. Now imagine that whenever you hold this object, one particular joyful memory comes to life. Write about: • What the object looks and feels like • Why this object was chosen to hold the memory • The joyful moment stored inside it • What happens when the memory is unlocked • How carrying this object changes your day Try to focus on sensory details. What can you see, hear, smell, taste, or touch when the memory returns? You can write a story, a poem, a letter, a diary entry, or simply a descriptive paragraph. There is no need to share deeply personal experiences unless you want to. The goal is to spend a few minutes reconnecting with moments of comfort, happiness, or hope through creativity. 💛 Optional challenge: If your Pocket of Joy could speak, what would it say to you today?
