Day 7 of 40 preparing your space to hold you in 2026
Welcome to day 7 of 40, creating space to hold who you’re becoming in 2026. Today is about creating safety when things are hard. When there is shock, grief, or deep emotional stress, the body goes into protection. In Feng Shui, that energy often settles in quiet, enclosed spaces. The bedroom, corners of rooms, Closets, Bathrooms, places we retreat to without realizing it. In Feng Shui, grief and shock are supported by the Kun Gua. Kun is the Earth element and governs being held, supported, and nourished. When you stand at your front door looking into your home, Kun lives in the back right area. This applies to the whole home, the bedroom, or even a single room. You can always work small. Kun energy doesn’t ask you to move forward, it says, you are carried right now. When Kun is weak, people often feel unsupported, exhausted, or like they have to hold everything together on their own. When Kun is strengthened, the nervous system softens, and Qi begins to move gently again. If you’re moving through something heavy, choose one Kun space. The back right of your bedroom, a quiet corner you retreat to, a place your body already goes when it needs rest. Soften it by adding warmth, add something paired, add something grounding and familiar. You’re not clearing grief away you’re giving it a place to be held safely. This is how Feng Shui becomes medicine. This is how your home holds you when words aren’t available yet. With light ✨Kathleen
