Work is not your family
Some of us really need to hear this. Keep your connections. Feed your friendships. Replenish yourself regularly. Log off.
https://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/executive-education/the-kellogg-experience/thought-leadership/dark-side-of-perfectionism.aspx I’m a Little Bit of a Perfectionist – The Dark Side of the Drive for Flawlessness - article "Most of us believe saying we are perfectionists demonstrates that we have high standards, are diligent workers and care about the quality of the work we do. Those are all commendable traits. However, perfectionism — an unrelenting drive to meet impossibly high standards — serves none of those ambitions effectively.
Question of the Week
Starting a new thing - question of the week. Read, reflect, reply. Would love to hear your thoughts. QUESTION: What belief are you carrying that you never chose? Think about the rules you follow automatically. Where did they come from? Did you decide on them, or did someone hand them to you before you were old enough to question why? I’d love to hear from you. Just hit reply.
Question of the Week
As a woman there are many rules I've followed from childhood that I had to review once I got older. I have been told directly and indirectly how I am supposed to show up, look, act, speak, work etc. which often times are in direct contrast to what is needed to success. This deprogramming is a daily job and is quite difficult. Luckily, I've had support. It also helps that I am a stubborn and purposed individual.

Job Search Strategy - Spray and Pray is NOT it... - article
"“A lot of students are very afraid and intimidated to reach out to alumni or people they haven’t met. But people are willing to help when you are focused, you have a plan, and you come in prepared.” Find ten companies. Find ten people that work there. Contact them and connect. Stop randomly applying to jobs- it rarely works. https://www.cnbc.com/2026/07/08/use-this-rule-to-land-a-job-its-like-tapping-into-the-hidden-job-market-career-coach.html?
