Gas reimbursement
I was wondering do the dispatcher pay for the carrier fuel or how does that work? I'm not sure if I missed that part or not. But I have a friend that drives for this company and I know that they do this fuel reimbursement , so I was wondering would that be part of my responsibilities?
Hello I Just joined
Hi my name is Kassandra. I am 46 years old and I'm new here trying to learn more and start my own dispatching business. And I am currently living in Jonesboro AR. I plan to make at least between 10,000 to 15,000 a month. I am a little scared because I don't know anything at all about dispatching but hopefully I will learn here what I need too to succeed. Nice to meet you all and I was wondering did anyone have in starting out advice.I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1. Learn the good and the bad details of trying to start a dispatching business. 2. I want to gain inside knowledge from experts about the business 3. I want to really learn to start making this money that's to be made For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1. I love to cook 2. I love hanging with my family when they visit on holidays cooking playing games and listening to music 3. I love making money β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

Got my first carrier!!!
Update: I collected my first carrier today. A friend that owns a box truck company with three trucks. Some context: I had to cancel my subscription to the paid portion of Dispatcher University, not because the system does not work but because I can not afford it at the moment. To those that don't know, I was taken advantage of in late 2025 as a lease on owner operator. It left my business near bankruptcy. I transitioned into dispatch because of it. I'm grateful to God I was able to use my contacts in the industry to scale the biggest hurdle to dispatchers, finding carriers. Otherwise I would have to spend lots of money in advertising to let carriers know my company exists. Then afterwards I would have to convince them to work with me. My industry connections helped me bypass that expense and roadblock. Grateful to @Gurpreet Gill for his teaching and expertise that gave me knowledge and tools to help my friends run their businesses more efficiently. I'm encouraged and excited about the future. Once my company returns to the black, I'll return with an update. Thanks to everyone I've met in this community and to all the encouraging words and advice. I can't wait to come back with more good news.

Congratulations and I am sorry to hear that happened to you but no one can stop what is meant for you. I do have a question if you had a choice would you pursue dispatching or being an owner and operator first if you knew what you know now and from your experiences
