O God, in this wonderful sacrament of the Eucharist, you who left us the memorial of your Passion, we pray that you may grant us such veneration of the sacred mysteries of your Body and Blood that we may constantly experience within ourselves the fruit of your redemption. May we recognize in the bread the same One who hung on the Cross; may we recognize in the chalice the Blood that flowed from his Side. Take, then, and eat the Body of Christ; take and drink his Blood. You who live and reign, may the Body and Blood of the Lord bless us, guard us from all evil, and lead us to eternal life. Amen.
