How’s your week so far? This morning, I was at the coffee shop and they were all out of frittatas. I ordered the breakfast enchilada instead, and it was made with a flour tortilla. I asked for sour cream, and used this as a fat to help stabilize the carbs from the flour tortilla. What are some of your creative ways you’re approaching stabilizing blood glucose?

Checking in late today! I feel like I've been doing fairly well but it's a challenge not to snack at night especially. I'm gone at work all day and it just feels so satisfying to munch on snacks. I have been starting most of my meals with some carrot and celery sticks or any other veggies, then proteins like ground beef, chicken sausages, and tuna salad. My carbs have mostly been roasted sweet potatoes, cauliflower, some almond crackers and a bit of rice tonight. I got a headache around 5pm the first day but haven't had one since. I've been saving coffee until the end of a meal and treating it like dessert and I made some flourless banana, peanut butter, cocoa powder muffins as a treat as well.

Hello, I'm Karla. I was born in Fort Wayne and now live in the big town of Spencerville on a small property. I saw Holly's offering on social media and have committed because I have known for awhile that I need to do something to get healthier. I would like to lose weight & visceral fat and lower my A1C. My annual tests have been in the pre-diabetic range and my current health care provider is not worried about it so I know I have to be my own advocate. Looking forward to sharing this journey with this group!
