Well, yesterday I received a “Help Request” message asking for a refund because someone ordered one of my 40oz digital designs and hasn’t received the item. They explained in the message that the order status says “delivered,” but they didn’t actually receive anything. Do you really think you can get a physical 40oz Stanley tumbler, with no shipping cost, for $5? It seems like that’s what this person thought 😅 No matter how many times you write “THIS IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD” (in the photo slides, description, thumbnail, etc.) on your listing—human beings never stop surprising me. Now I’m having an internal conflict: Should I issue the refund to avoid a bad review as retaliation? Or should I stand my ground, stick to Etsy’s shop policy (that digital items are non-refundable), and risk getting my first bad review? You warned us this could happen at any time—and here we are. Let’s handle it with a little humor 😂
