2026 in one word
What's everyone up to? I feel like 2026 is already going in overdrive, and I'm grateful for everyone in this community who takes time to stop by and check in. If you described 2026 in one word - what would it be? Is it more professional or personnal, or both? Mine is: Intentional

Listening and asking more questions. I find sometimes I am not clearly listening and waiting for my turn to speak.
Self-Assessment: Your Leadership Starting Point
Take a moment to reflect on one (or more) of these questions: a) When you think of "leaders" in aviation, who comes to mind and why? What specific behaviors make them effective? b) Recall a flight or operational situation where leadership made the difference between a good outcome and a poor one. What did the leader do specifically? c) On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your current leadership abilities in - Building trust quickly with new crew members - Speaking up when you see safety concerns - Encouraging others to voice concerns - Managing conflicts constructively - Making decisions under pressure with team input d) What's one leadership behavior you want to develop through this series? Make sure to engage with at least one other member’s post — leadership grows in community! (This is self-reflection module #1 of the Essential Leadership mini-course)

Hey! The link below addresses both parts A and B. I apologize for sharing an older video, but it beautifully conveys the type of leader I admire and aspire to become. As for answer C, there are days when I feel like I’m at a 9, and others when I might drop to a 2. This aviation career has truly humbled me in countless ways. https://youtu.be/GN80sx3s4LA?si=O8lA2OKmcaPjPfh2

1. I have been working at AirSprint since 2017 and currently reside in Calgary, AB. I’m part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional aviation services. I have been in Aviation since 2007—rotorcraft, as well as an AME, before transitioning to fixed-wing. 2. I wanted to join this community because I appreciate what Jean Dennis has started in fostering connections and collaboration within the aviation industry. 3. For fun, I enjoy flying my Citabria on my days off when I’m not working,(currently a skipper on the Legacy at ASP). It’s a great way to unwind and enjoy my passion for aviation. 4.
