I’m going to be honest—I am NOT the best when it comes to creating children’s stories. 😂 And one of the biggest challenges I’ve heard people talk about over and over again is 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆. You create the perfect character... then suddenly on the next page they have a different face, different hair, different clothes, or basically look like an entirely different kid. 🤦‍♀️ Well... I’ve been working on a solution for that. 👀 I can’t share everything just yet because I have some pretty epic things happening behind the scenes that I think are going to make creating children’s books MUCH easier. But I’ve been testing the character consistency piece, and for this little experiment I decided to use my son and my dog as the characters in the story. 🥹🐶 And YES—I used AI to create them. So I want your HONEST opinion... 👇 What do you think of the characters? Would you be happy with this level of consistency in a children’s book? I’m very curious to hear what you guys think because your feedback might just help me with something I’m building behind the scenes. 😉

😂 You know you’re getting old when… it’s time to upgrade your glasses. Apparently, I’ve officially graduated from single-vision lenses to progressive lenses. 😂 And since I was upgrading anyway, I decided to order the latest pair of Meta glasses. I’m actually pretty excited about them because I listen to a LOT of content throughout the day—YouTube videos, podcasts, audiobooks, trainings, etc.—and these should make it much easier to listen while I’m on the go. I’ve personally never been a big fan of earbuds. They never seem to sit right in my ears, they get uncomfortable, and I’m constantly worried about losing one. 😆 That’s one of the things I like about the Meta glasses—you can listen without having something stuck in your ears. Now I’m curious… 👓 Does anyone else have Meta glasses? 🎧 Do you actually use them for listening to content? 🤔 Would you buy a pair?

One thing I wish more self-published authors thought about earlier is this: Your book is not the end of the journey. It can be the beginning of your community. A lot of authors wait until they have a huge audience, multiple books, or a massive following before they think about building a community. I actually think that can be backwards. Starting early gives you time to build real relationships with readers, learn what they care about, see what questions they ask, and understand what they may want from you next. That community can eventually become the place where you share new books, trainings, resources, workshops, events, or even future offers. But more importantly, it gives you something that Amazon alone cannot give you: a direct relationship with your audience. 👉START YOUR OWN SKOOL That is a big reason I built my own Skool community, and today we have grown to more than 2,000 members.
