I am inspired by the mission of TEDx -- creating a platform for unique ideas to connect with those seeking deeper understanding of themselves through hearing other people's perspectives; because sharing the lessons from our pain helps heal the suffering of others. Since an early age, death and I were roommates -- losing my sister, my brother, and nearly my own life in a 100 mph motorcycle crash -- until I discovered that the same mechanics I used to escape into gaming could actually help me master reality. My passion burns from knowing that millions of people, especially our youth, are one re-frame away from discovering that their deepest pain contains their most powerful gifts. TEDx isn't the destination -- it's the amplifier, giving these ideas the reach they're destined for.

Grand Rising Tedx Third Ward! I am in awe of all the amazing talks destined to be shared. My name is Christapher "King Kanyini" Benson, and I am nomadic but plant my roots in Atlanta, GA. My big idea poses the question, "What do gamers know about beating impossible levels that could help us transform our deepest trauma into our greatest superpowers?" In this talk, I reveal how to alchemize suffering into gold using the Life Gamer Mentality, where breath becomes our controller, heart-mind connection becomes our shield against stress, and imagination becomes the greatest console we've ever played. When we stop trying to process our trauma and learn to defeat it like gamers defeat boss battles, we unlock the experience points hidden in every challenge and transform from victims into heroes of our own story.
