I’ve been on my dispatch journey for a while now, and like many of you, I started by learning the basics, making mistakes, and slowly understanding how the business really works beyond just load boards. One thing that helped me personally was having a side hustle alongside dispatching. It took off some financial pressure and allowed me to learn dispatching the right way with patience, consistency, and focus on quality service rather than rushing for quick wins. I’m still learning every day, but I’ve seen real progress by staying consistent, asking questions, and connecting with people in communities like this. I'm currently completing the worksheets, niche selection to be specific, I've been going back to refine details, etc. for the last week but I'm having self-doubt when it comes to selecting a niche and sticking to it. I initially figured I'd go toward box trucks as my first niche, but I don't want to limit my opportunities, and I also don't want to oversaturate my mind/progress by feeling required to do all at once. Anyone have enough experience in the industry that can advise which way to swing that'll be the most beneficial?
