So there I was. Standing right on the edge of this fucking huge vortex, watching everything around me get sucked in with amazing speed & force. Then implode on itself leaving debris scattered as far as I could ever hope to see. Yet, I myself could not feel the pull. Strangely enough, my balance was purely impeccable. But that does not mean that the effects of the catastrophe were lost on me. Oh no my dear friends in fact, as we all know, chaos rules & the King of which had sent a ransom for this jester. When you have nothing to lose, you tend to pay with anything or anyone that you can get your hands on & I was not averse to throwing a few seemingly innocent, sacrificial offerings to appease the beast that was screaming my name in the cold, still night. However, “You cannot see the eyes of the demon, a till him come callin’!” Well, who was I to deny him of what he had on offer for my troubles as it were. Now at this point I feel I should address that, while this may read with a dark underlying tone I am not bringing said things to light because I regret anything that may or may not have happened or has yet to happen. Merely just to record it here for the purpose of posterity. Beings of instinct will understand that it is not always up to the individual on which path it is they choose to tread. Even more so when the path you wind up on, has chosen you. Beckoning to your very soul with words that are always left unsaid, yet, whispered in such a way they could not possibly go unheard. It has long been maintained that, as soon as you cease to search for something it has the most terrible & maddening habit of, not only immediately presenting itself, but stands there directly in front of you, demanding nothing short of your complete & undivided attention. This is not always a problem & has quite often been the best way of obtaining something long sought after. So, what has all this nonsensical ranting have to do with anything at all, I hear you ask? Well perhaps nothing at all, yet.
