I am in a new location with terrible soil. I want to kickstart it into more production faster than I have in the past. I did a quick cover crop as soon as I could in the autumn and although I don’t really get frost I’m hoping the cycling is just slow right now. Hoping I won’t need to spend money on amendments as the temp rises. My takeaway from most of what I tried not really working out is to go with what is already working in its own. I am refocusing on utilizing the plants that grow here on their own and propagating out existing perennials. I’m already intercropping, but really wanting the system functional and testing what will thrive.
