Welcome to ASG everyone! Feel free to share anything you're working on that you would like me or anyone else to give some feedback or tips on. You can also clarify what you want feedback on so we can target your needs better!
@Kimo Boissonnier looking good! though try not to overexaggerate shadows. you drew her in a way where its like you put an imaginary light shining down on her face creating deep shadows whereas its pretty diffused in the reference. (her eye socket nonexistent shadow for instance). this is a common issue because we from a trust standpoint for some reason do not trust that midtones are enough to create structural integrity. (THEY ARE) Negate that feeling and trust that the midtones as long as they are structurally sound, can still create solid strong form. we do not always need harsh shadows and harsh lighting to depict form.
@Melinda Hamsher for sure! The one thing you wanna think about is reevaluating the term "loose". Loose shouldn't be we loosen our measuring, in fact it should be the opposite. The looser the paintingthe more accurate the measuring and values should be or else the whole thing falls apart
