@Richard Perrin yeah I agree, being placed on the spot - thinking on the feet to deliver a training session. I keep reflecting on mine and know what I would do differently next time. I had a cho dan bo and a red belt. I could have used the Cho Dan Bo to demonstrate the moves needed. So for me, I think I could take a step back and see who is my audience, break down the kicks (teaching turning reverse, turning reverse), apply, then kick on pads. I got there with the students anyway and we had the red belt flowing with her tornado kick, so she was happy, I was happy (there’s was peace in the land). So I think if I can continue with self reflection, there will be more tools to use for up coming classes.

Rhythm drills- punching and kicking in time with music; mirror drills - partner up and copy each others moves quickly; what about a quick meditation and visualisation - imagining turning kicks being quick sharp and powerful (visualisation is important i feel), what about sound and breathing- breath out on executing moves and letting out a big Kihap.
