Welcome to The Table — a few house rules so everybody wins.
This is a room full of contractors from every trade and every corner of the map. We're all chasing the same goal — getting awarded — and the fastest way there is helping each other get sharp. A few things keep it that way: 1. Keep live solicitation specifics out of open threads. This is a competitive world. Ask all the how-to you want — how to structure a section, how to answer a question type, how the process works. But don't post the details of a live solicitation you're actively chasing where a competitor could see it. For that, message me direct — that's what I'm here for. 2. Be genuine and be generous. Share your wins, your lessons, your questions. The people who give the most get the most out of this room. 3. No pitching, no poaching. This isn't a place to sell to each other or recruit each other's people. 4. What's shared here stays here. Respect each other's information. That's it. Dig in, introduce yourself, and let's go win some work. — Justin

🏆 Post your wins here — big and small
This is the trophy case. Won a contract? Got shortlisted on an SOQ? Landed a first meeting with an agency? Signed a JOC contract? Post it here — every size counts. Two reasons this matters: First, wins are contagious. Seeing someone else land a job you thought was out of reach is the fastest way to believe you can too. Second, your win teaches the room. Tell us what you went after, who the owner was, and the one thing that made the difference. That's the stuff you can't get from a webinar. I'll kick it off in the comments. Your turn next — drop your most recent win, even if it's just "finally got on the plan-holder list."

I'll start. Early in my career I chased a small paving IDIQ with a state DOT that everyone told me was locked up by the incumbent. What made the difference wasn't price — it was that I actually read the SOQ instructions and answered every evaluation factor in the exact order they were scored, while the big firm submitted a generic capabilities brochure. Shortlisted, then awarded. Lesson that's paid off ever since: the evaluators are grading a rubric, so write to the rubric. Your turn — what have you got?
🚩 New here? Start with these 3 things
Welcome — glad you pulled up a seat. Do these three things and you'll be plugged in: 1) Read the pinned Welcome post so you know how The Table works. 2) Introduce yourself in the Introductions channel — tell us what you build, where you work, and the one public job you'd most like to win. 3) Drop your #1 target agency or region in the Solicitation Radar so I can watch for opportunities that fit you. That's it. The more specific you are about what you want to win, the more useful this place gets for you.

📡 The Solicitation Radar — first drop this week
This is where the weekly Radar lands — fresh JOC, CMAR, and design-build opportunities worth a look, with a quick read on each. First full drop this week. Chasing a specific agency or region? Drop it in the comments and I'll keep an eye out for you.
