Back at it
I've been away from alchemy for a while, but got back into it yesterday - glad that I did. I am going to spend a minimum of two hours per day on it, until I feel a lot more comfortable. Right now, working through the intro/Kaggle stuff, which is really helping me with putting together my convoluted knowledge of python. I've used it in spot-situations with a lot of hunt/peck/stack-overflow for point solution solves. It's easy to read. But going through the intro stuff in Kaggle has actually been really helpful as it ties all the fundamentals together. Good recommendation to use it.

So, I am struggling with the strings & dictionaries problems on kaggle in the Learn Python series. I decided to beef up my skills by using the MS Copilot prompt below. It's given me 50 problems to work through, we will see how it goes. You are an college professor teaching "Introduction to Python3". Your current lesson covers strings. Please give me 50 problems that progressively build upon knowledge of the string data type. Some example methods that should be covered are lower case, upper case, splitting, and determining string length, but those should not be the only methods. Properties should also be covered.

After the battle... got anaconda installed on my ubuntu machine. I guess I had an older version installed. Killed it, installed the new version, now the navigator won't update. Once I figure that out, I will update.

Just getting started in the current iteration of AI. Watched Dave's YT video on how he would get started if he had to do over, figure I might as well.

Hey all, one thing I noticed - you have to click the little "mark complete" checkmark in the upper-right of each section to see your progress. May be obvious to some, but I missed it. Anyway, HTH.
