What did family court do to your identity?
What changed the MOST about how you see yourself? Don’t just vote—tell us why. I’m interested in what happens after years of court dates, accusations, financial pressure, losing time with your children, and constantly having to defend yourself. At some point the question stops being only “What did the system do to me?” “Who did I become while fighting it—and who do I want to be when the fight is over?”

Isolation Isn’t Always Loneliness
There’s a difference between being lonely and intentionally getting away from the noise. Go walk through a park. Leave your phone in the car. No music, no scrolling, no distractions. Just walk and pay attention to what comes up in your head. If your thoughts get too chaotic, stop chasing them and focus on your breathing. Sometimes you need enough silence to actually hear yourself think. You might see your life—and the world—a little differently when nobody else is influencing what you’re looking at.

Isolation Isn’t Always Loneliness
DON’T PULL THE TRIGGER BECOME THE DIGGER
Bury What’s Killing You. Become the Man You Needed. I’m writing this from a couch in a trailer. I’m 43 years old. There was a time when I owned 15 properties and had millions of dollars. I had built the life I’d been chasing since I was 12 years old, pushing a lawnmower around the neighborhood, hustling to make money. I came from a broken home, and somewhere along the way I created a blueprint for happiness with two things written on it: MAKE MONEY. BUILD A FAMILY. I believed if I accomplished those two things, I would be happy. I got them. And then I lost them. Today, I’m more than $1 million in debt after spending most of my life avoiding debt. I’ve lost money, properties, relationships, people I loved, people I respected, and pieces of the identity I spent decades creating. I’ve been betrayed. I’ve been spit on. I’ve been pepper-sprayed. I’ve been arrested. I’ve watched people and institutions I thought would stand beside me turn their backs. And I’ve experienced pain so deep that my human mind just wanted the pain to stop. Yet I’m still fucking here. This morning I woke up on this couch and asked my soul: What do you want from me today? And the answer became the title of this book. DON’T PULL THE TRIGGER. I’ve known men who aren’t here anymore. Something happened to them that felt impossible to come back from. The pain became bigger than their ability to imagine another future. And they made a permanent decision during a temporary chapter. I’ve thought about the people they left behind. I’ve thought about the hole their deaths created. And after experiencing my own darkness, I understand something I didn’t understand before: The pain can become unbelievably real. You can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone. You can have people telling you everything will be okay while knowing they have absolutely no idea what is happening inside you. You can lose the person you thought you were. You can lose your money. Your relationship. Your children. Your reputation.

Man, there’s a lot in here that hits home for me. Especially the part about realizing you didn’t spend 38 years making the money—you spent 38 years becoming the man capable of making it. That’s a completely different way of looking at losing everything. I’m learning something similar right now. When enough gets stripped away—money, relationships, your home, your identity, even relationships with your kids—you eventually have to ask yourself what’s actually left when all the shit you thought defined you disappears. And the answer really is: you. I also love the kintsugi analogy. I think too many of us waste years trying to convince everybody that we’re not cracked instead of accepting that we are and figuring out what the hell we’re going to do with those cracks. The one thing I’d add is that I don’t think strength means pretending the darkness isn’t real. Some days aren’t motivational. Some days you’re genuinely just trying to make it until tomorrow. And sometimes strength is exactly what you said: give yourself 24 hours. Don’t solve your entire life tonight. I’m living through my own rebuilding period right now, so I’m not going to sit here pretending I’ve reached the other side either. That’s actually why this resonated with me. Maybe that’s the whole point. You don’t have to be standing at the top of the mountain to reach your hand back to the guy climbing behind you. Keep writing, brother. There’s something here.

How are you feeling about everything ?
Certain Days Of Have A Feeling
Now this may just be a me thing, but I wanted to see if anyone else can relate. By the title of this post I’m trying to explain how one certain day have a feeling, kinda like how Wednesday is hump day., For me it’s Friday..it used to be Friday had the feeling for fun, adventure or anything can happen..but now it’s been like, everything “bad” that’s been happening in my life, for some reason has been falling on a Friday..it’s been like that for the past 2 years…Now I dread when Friday is coming, it’s like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.,I know it’s bad thinking like that and I’m trying to change my thinking but it’s hard man..dam hard.. I miss the old Friday feeling..

Why did it change over the last two years? I’m asking because I already know what you’re talking about but I want to know exactly what happened over the last 24 months?
