Praying for Healing
Hey guys, I know I just joined this group, but something in need of a miracle just came up. My friend was put on hospice a little bit ago, so if you could please pray for her if you think of it. She was diagnosed with lung cancer a little over a year ago, it has now spread throughout her body. She is a mother of six and her youngest is almost two. We are all holding out for a miracle, and we believe in the power of prayer. So please if you have a chance, pray for her full restoration! Thank you guys so much!

Writing it out ✍️
I believe in journaling. I’ve been writing my thoughts and devotions in a plethora of notebooks and journals before I ever knew “daily journaling “ was a thing. This morning as I was preparing for my morning devotion time, (aka making coffee) ☕️ I had the thought that I need to drill down deeper into the things I’m believing for right now. To write out everything, specifically some things I may be thinking about but haven’t specifically prayed about. This thought led me to go find my old prayer journal and begin using it again. (Last entry was in 2020.) 😳 🫣 Its companion book, Prayers that avail much, was my guide in learning how to pray according to God’s Word over 30 years ago. Side note: It was such a blessing to see a prayer that I wrote over our goals to buy a house almost 20 years ago and the follow-up entry of the answer. We still live in and love our little house 19 years later! 🏡 As Christian Goal Achieving Ladies, praying scriptural prayers over our goals is a holy turbo boost for not only our achievement, but also our alignment. (There’s no shame in crossing out a goal that we thought was right at the time, but the Lord steers us in a different direction.) Question: Would you find it helpful to have a module in our Classroom that has scriptural prayers that you can use as a guide to pray over your goals? Please put yes, no, or maybe so in comments. 😁 (GIFs encouraged!)

I love journaling also . In fact I packed my journal as if it was my purse and take it with me wherever I go because I never know when I'll get a word from the Lord, or a thought that I need to get out of my head, or feeling I just need to let go of.
Where it all began - Part 3
Alright, friends - here's the rest of the story! ☀️ After I went through Goal Getters on my own, my daughter Melanie - who is an associate pastor at Faith Church in St. Louis - decided to launch a virtual Zoom group for people to study the book together. This was 2021, and I jumped in eagerly. (I also helped out with a little group admin on the side - because of course I did. 😄) After that first year, Melanie passed the baton of leadership to me and my friend Shanel. We led together for a couple of years until Shanel's other commitments needed her full attention, and I kept it going on my own from there. Over five-plus years of weekly meetings, something beautiful just kept unfolding. New women found the group. Women who had been sitting on the same dream for years started writing their goals down, praying over them, and actually following through. I watched it happen over and over again - that quiet reignition of something they thought had passed them by. And I kept experiencing it right alongside them. Every new season brought new goals, and the principles just kept working. So here's where I land - and I want to be clear about this: ➡️ I am not a life coach. I'm not a business coach. I'm not any kind of coach, actually! What I am is a woman who knows what it feels like to carry a God-given dream, lose a little steam, and then find her way back to it. And I know I'm not the only one. Here's what I've noticed about women like us: we pray. We dig into Scripture. We journal. We read the books and watch our favorite mentors on YouTube. We build vision boards, write out our goals, find the communities and newsletters that keep us inspired. We are doing the work - because we're motivated by something deeper than ambition. We want to please God, make an impact, and live the life He actually had in mind for us. What's often missing isn't effort or desire. It's a safe place to do all of it together. 👯‍♀️ That's exactly why I created Christian Gals with Goals. 🌸

Beautiful story. Yes the place to do it together with like minded women resonates with me.

Today is our first 2nd Saturday of the month! More info can be found in the Classroom here. I know this group is new and we haven't really gotten into the groove of posting our discussions yet, but I didn't want to pass up this opportunity to tell you all about the 2nd Saturday business promotion option available to all members. Of course, the primary purpose of our group is ministry, encouragement, and support in our goals, NOT business building, but we can still support each other in that area. Following is an example post of how you may share your business or products with our group. (This is NOT a format or template, just a guide for including all pertinent info.) Who: Hi, Friends! I'm Sherri and I love to crochet! In fact, I love it so much that I started designing my own patterns! (Who are you and what is your business?) Why: Have you learned how to crochet the basic single and double crochet stitches, but just haven't figured out how to decipher all the abbreviations in a written crochet pattern? I can help! (Why should I buy your product or service?) What: I especially enjoy creating simple patterns that not only produce a beautiful finished object, but also that can help you learn pattern reading while you work! (What specifically are you promoting today?) When: This week in honor of Valentine's Day, February 14 through 20, I'm offering a special low price on my simple pattern tutorials that take the guesswork out of reading a crochet pattern. (Is there a special sale or time frame for your offer?) Where: You can get your copy of the Easy Double Crochet Scarf right here on Ravelry. (You need a free Ravelry account to access it.) (Where can I access your product/service?) Follow me on Instagram: @crochet.colored.glasses (Feel free to add your website and social links in your post.)

I taught my children to crochet when they were little. One stuck with it and have turned it into a business.
Quick Update
Hi, Friends! I have paused a few days on posting as I ponder our path forward here. Also, if you read my earlier post about my trip to the ER and that it turned out that I had a stroke, well… I have a tendency to just keep going as if it never happened and assume I can keep up the same pace. As I sit here with ice on my foot while typing due to a wildly ungraceful tumble I took this morning while taking the trash can to the curb, I realize that I need to make a few tweaks. For our group, I’d like to start by going back a bit to share the history of how the idea for this group came about and what I hope we can accomplish together here. I will start with that tomorrow, as honestly I’m finding it a struggle to think creatively with throbbing toes. 😝🚨 For now I’ll just say as both old and new friends join the group, I can sense your hopefulness for dreams and ideas that you’re excited about achieving and I believe we are all going to support each other forward. 🥰 PS: Will you please say a prayer for my toes, my knee, and my wrist? 🤪 I’m a little banged up at the moment. 🙃 Thank you!

Will definitely be praying for your total healing. Please take care of yourself I was working about 60 to 70 hour weeks and had two mini-strokes that almost took my life and it changed everything for me when it came to leading a team.
