That’s a great suggestion Mike. Sorry to hear about the injuries Ryan. Hopefully you’re back to 100% soon! Personally, I allow myself to not want to climb. It happens to me from time to time for a variety of reasons. During this time I’ll take time to do anything I want to. It could be just being home after work, hanging out with friends, working( I have a photography business besides my 9-5). Like Mike, my body will crave sun, exercise and doing difficult things so I’ll let myself get into whatever thing I’m enjoying at the moment. It could be running more, lifting weights, hiking, social dancing, or whatever I feel. After some time I’ll want to climb and exercise and then I’ll be happy to be back climbing and all that comes with it. Covid and injuries have made me super appreciative that my body is healthy and that it can do anything that I want to do. I’m honestly just happy that I have the ability to move, try hard and enjoy life. Don’t be hard on yourself! You’re human and it’s all normal. There’s no right or wrong way to go about your climbing career!
