I have another question. Since I do not qualify for Social Security disability insurance and I am unable to work, I am going to try to apply for Medicaid through the New Jersey family care site. One of the first questions is “Has Social Security administration, determined you disabled or do you want to be evaluated by the division of medical assistance due to a permanent disability.” SSDI determined I was not eligible due to recent work credit credits, they did not determine if I was disabled or consider any of my medical documentation. I am not sure how to answer this question. Is the division of medical assistance and health services the same place that denied me because of my work credits? Please advise and thank you. Julie

Hello, my name is Julie Hemley and I am looking for a recommendation for a Social Security disability insurance attorney in the North Jersey area I was diagnosed with MS 25 years ago,and my physical and mental functioning have completely deteriorated in the past four years. However, between moves and flareups, I have not worked in the past 10 years. While I do have 40 lifetime work credits, I do not have 20 work credits in the past 10 years. I have applied and appealed the decision, and been denied at least six times. I have no money coming in and have not had medical insurance for a very long time, so until recently, did not have any imaging that would strengthen my case. Hi, for clarification, I posted this in the messages and was directed to post it here: Julie Hemley 3:16pm Thanks Eddie 😊 I do have questions, I’m just trying to get my thoughts organized. I have applied for disability and have been denied eight times. The reason for all the denial was the same, I was not found disabled at a prior time period. However, in the last year my condition has deteriorated rapidly. I applied, I thought an entirely new application, for Social Security disability in 2025. However, they are saying that I wasn’t found disabled in 2021 so I am denied now in 2026. Obviously, I am frustrated. The first time I think I did the application myself. I was living in Raleigh NC, and used a disability law firm there, and I was denied twice there. It even went in front of a judge. My uncle is an attorney, but not a disability attorney was trying to help me get this through again. He was trying to be helpful, but he was out of his element as he is a labor law attorney. I am wondering if I even try to apply again if it will just get denied? Is there a way to not have the other information from prior applications included in a new application for Social Security disability? I have been going to a neurologist and she has been documenting everything. I just don’t know where to go from here and I really need help and guidance.
