A New Reflection From The Skin Series
I recently published a new Substack piece called “The Day the Earth Stood Still.” This one is a little different. It includes a fictional writing piece, but it also connects back to the larger world I’ve been building through The Skin Series — books centered around love, identity, womanhood, healing, self-discovery, and becoming. I’m starting to understand more clearly how my writing, books, visuals, and products all speak to each other. They may show up in different forms, but they come from the same deeper place: creating work that invites people to feel, reflect, and see themselves more honestly. Inside the article, I also gently invite readers to explore some of the books in The Skin Series on my website. I’m testing how written storytelling can guide readers back to my body of work without making the connection feel forced or overly sales-focused. I’d love for you to check it out and share any feedback on the writing, the positioning, or how the article connects back to the larger creative world I’m building. @Wanda Lee Florestine Thank you so much! I truly appreciate that. This piece is a little different for me, but it felt important to share because it connects back to the deeper themes inside The Skin Series — love, reflection, identity, and the moments that make us pause and feel. I’d love to hear your thoughts after you read it. ✨
Let's build each other for free!
✨ COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITION ✨ One thing I truly believe is this: there is room at the table for ALL of us. 👏🏾 We all came into this space to grow, learn, elevate, and build something meaningful — and sometimes the smallest support can create the biggest momentum. A like, a comment, a follow, encouragement, visibility… it all matters. So let’s intentionally build with each other. 💯 If you see this post: ✔️ Drop a comment say hi 👋 ✔️ Follow the people in the comments ✔️ Like and engage with at least one post from someone else #followeachother ✔️ Support genuinely and consistently As we grow our engagement, level up, and increase visibility within the community, let’s remember: another person’s success does NOT take away from our own. Collaboration, support, and community can open doors for all of us. Let’s stop watching silently and start uplifting loudly. 🚀🔥 If you like, comment or follow- I am loving you back😉 We rise faster together. 🙌🏾 #BRPC Happy Friday future millionairs!! #Amen

When the Books Become the Brand Story
I created this reel for my Skin Series, and I wanted to try something a little different with this one. Instead of only presenting the books as individual titles, I wanted the reel to show the feeling behind the series: love, identity, desire, heartbreak, healing, self-discovery, and becoming. I’m learning that my books are not separate from the larger Kismet Wonders brand. They are part of the foundation of the world I’m building. Some stories are read. Some are worn. Some are carried. Some are lived. For the authors here, have you thought about how your books connect to the larger message or brand world you’re creating?

@Crystal Harris Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. I wanted this reel to feel more creative and reflective instead of just a straightforward book promo, so I’m glad that came through. I appreciate the encouragement and support as I continue testing different ways to share the books and the larger brand story.

@Elma Shaw Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. I’m glad you enjoyed the reel and the creative direction behind it.
When Products Become Part of the Story
This reel reflects something I’m learning as an author and creative brand owner. My books, journals, graphic tees, and tote bags are not separate from each other. They all connect through self-expression, identity, creativity, healing, and becoming. I wanted this reel to feel like a flipbook of the larger Kismet Wonders world. Some stories are read. Some stories are worn. Some stories are carried. For the authors here, have you thought about how your books could connect to a larger product or brand ecosystem?

When Products Become Part of the Story
My Creative Brand Relaunch Is Live
Launch day update: Kismet Wonders is officially live. This relaunch has helped me see how my books, journals, Substack, podcast-style reflections, and products are all connected through the same themes: self-expression, identity, confidence, rebuilding, and becoming. I’m learning that for my audience, the story around the work matters just as much as the product itself. This launch is part of building a larger author and creative brand ecosystem, not just opening an online store. Kismet Wonders is now open as a creative lifestyle brand rooted in fashion, art, self-expression, and becoming. Website: www.kismetwonders.store
