Hello all, I’m a fan of meeting in person so that you can all make something of my integrity (or lack of), and I yours, but Jeff has asked for me to introduce myself here. Alexander told me about Philosophy Club serendipitously last night whilst at Toastmasters for the first time. My name is Julia Christine Archer Strong, that means ‘youthful follower of Christ on the straight and tried path'. We each have a specific purpose here and I know our God-given names illustrate what that is. I am a full believer in looking up before looking out -- contrary to my perspective most of my life whereby I didn’t see myself as an active participant in what happened around me. I call myself a virtue coach. I have a podcast where I chat about things I need to hear said. I feel that all there is to life is moving the ego out of the way of the soul. I’m 26 and I’m highly bored by the drone-talk of my generation. I sincerely cannot wait to engage in conversation not only to talk about more things that matter, but to change minds. I was born in Florida but grew up in Playa del Carmen and spent 8 years in the UK, until lockdown when I moved back home again. I know in my bones that feeling fear is solely a choice. All there is is love, it never disappears, and it’s up to you to choose it.
