Introduction
I am a wife, mother, and grandmother that has had a challenging journey myself. I am an avid crafter because it keeps me sane. I have turned it into a small business with my bestie @DeeDee McFerrin. I also have a YouTube channel where I participate in craft collaborations and challenges. I invite y'all to check it out!
Introduction
Who inspires you?
We all have people come into our lives that inspire us in so many different ways. Please share with us, someone who has inspired you to create! Create art, create a better life, create a sense of peace. This man right here has been one of the biggest sources of inspiration and expansion in my life to date. I first came across Kyle about 8 years ago, when I was in a horribly dark place mentally. I was in a highly toxic marriage, mostly toxic "friendships", I didn't have a clue what self-worth was, and I couldn't get a handle on who I was at all. Too much childhood trauma, too much shame and guilt, too many self-limiting beliefs, and just too much outside noise that was crushing my soul into a pulp. I was basically just waiting around to die, which is a feeling I would never wish on anyone. At that point, I never believed there was a way out of the mental turmoil. One day I was doom scrolling and came across an ad for Kyle's "Live at the Dolby" event, that was offered for $20. At that point, I didn't understand the concept of investing into myself. I lived for everyone else around me, which at the time, I thought was what I was supposed to be doing. But thanks to Melissa Lummis (Love you, girl!), she helped me see that investing in myself wasn't selfish, but integral to have mental and physical balance. So I splurged on myself and spent $20 on Kyle's event, not knowing how much of a profound impact it would have on my entire life! I am so thankful that I listened to my intuition (and to Melissa!). That fateful day sparked change in me that I never knew I needed, that ended up rippling out into every facet of my life! It wasn't all at once, but little by little, I started reclaiming myself, my life, and my sovereignty. I am so thankful for that fateful day and can't imagine where I would be if I hadn't put that that $20 investment into myself. https://youtu.be/Qkc4ZW7KyX8?si=swLwL3cX-dEeo6Tu

My mother was creative and inspired my creative nature along with several other "motherly" figures in my life. My paternal grandmother was also creative and inspiring. I had a lot of inspiration along the way. Now that they are all gone I find that I am in the role of inspirer for the next generations.
