I just finished 2 little doll rag quilts and matching pillows. I forgot to snap a pic!

I have a question. If I have blocks that my mother pieced or maybe her mother pieced, would I have to put them together in a quilt with other vintage fabrics or would any good cotton do? the blocks are probably from garments etc. Most are hand sewn together. I think I will use some kind of fusing on the hand stitched ones to keep them together.
