Thoughts on Mobility
At 45, just before turning 46, with a schedule that demands daily coaching, rolling , working with units under the sun, and consistent sparring ... I understand more than ever: Mobility is not an extra , it’s a requirement. Mobility training is not just about flexibility ... it builds agility and real physical resilience. In a fight, things break down. You lose balance, take impact, or get forced into a bad position. At that moment, the body must retrieve a compensatory movement , something that stabilizes, absorbs the force, and allows you to continue. This is where structured mobility work becomes critical. It trains the body to react, adjust, and recover under stress instead of collapsing under load. A rigid body breaks. A trained body adapts, absorbs, and keeps moving forward. That’s the difference between stopping… and continuing to function when it matters.
Excellent. Thank you for sharing.
